Euro Klassik 2026 called for automotive photography, which was a sign to rekindle the motive to stop obsessing and keep executing ☝🏻

Highlights from this past weekend ✌🏻

I went out on a limb just to make sure I made attendance for @euro_klassik 2026 at the Grand Bend Motorplex 🏃🏻‍♂️

Since 2016, I’ve only missed a few years in between 🤞🏻

Lightroom has been feeling the jam ever since. Let’s be real, I still have collections of automotive photographycoverage that never made it out, on top of this year’s fire 😳

While I still have previous years to brush up on, let this demonstrate my dedication towards the love, respect, and appreciation for this car show right here in Ontario 📍

The dedication, the coordination, through to the staff and volunteers- the atmosphere is always on point, and somehow, only gets better and better, year after year 🤌🏻

It couldn’t be more of an honour to be a part of and contribute to the history of this epic auto event and amazing carculture altogether 👏🏻

Now, there’s plenty to get sappy over, but for now, let’s get back to the hype 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

Early Professional Reflections Through Toronto Street Photography (2014–2016) 📸

Back before client workflows, commercial direction, SEO strategy, and the whole “professional creative” evolution— there was simply me roaming Toronto with a Sony A300 and no real destination in mind ☝🏻

These adventures throughout Sankofa Square, Spadina, Danforth, the Harbourfront, Centre Island, the CN Tower, and even the Toronto Zoo became way more important than I realized at the time.

What felt like random urban exploration honestly shaped:

My eye for composition.

How I understand atmosphere.

Confidence in navigating environments.

Patience while capturing moments.

The creative edge that led me to pursue photography professionally.

Looking back now, some photographs make me proud, others make me laugh, and a few make me wish I had one more chance to frame them differently.

That’s the gold in revisiting your old work and returning to your roots as an artist. You get to see the progression from curiosity to experience firsthand 🌱

The magic about this collection is beyond me personally. This collection reflects on my nostalgia, lessons, and artisticmomentum, but it is also a historic novelty for the city of Toronto, which shaped my early years as a photographerfrom 2014 to 2016.

Popping back out has called for revisiting some of my earliest works and the roots of where everything all began, stemming back to the street photography sessions of downtown Toronto in 2014 📸

Popping back out slowly, steadily, and with some preparations considered, we have the opportunity to look back at where I started, to one of my most recent sessions 🔁

Popping back out with @behnnn for a photoshoot was necessary when his three-piece wheels came refinished, but we still have plenty of sets in between that we’re yet to crank out ☝🏻

@cityofto proves the harmony and peace that doesn’t just get along, but reinforces the iconicity of Toronto, Ontario as Canadian Identity, and that’s what it’s all about 🍁

After sacrificing social media consistency over many years— I’ve been lurking, but out serving a higher purpose.

Through a rough portfolio website between 2017 and 2019, I began learning the importance of platform ownership while working alongside @strictstandards here in London.

Back then, my website operated more like a self-branded Google Drive, permitting car enthusiasts to download their car show and auto event coverage throughout Ontario.

At the time, I had next to no understanding of SEO, copywriting, digital positioning, or how websites genuinely compound over time. I just knew having one mattered in my early career as a freelance photographer and graphicdesigner.

Rather than endlessly chasing trends and optimizing for social media algorithms, I slowly shifted focus toward building something permanent: a platform I own, control, and continue to shape for long-term sustainability.

What started through automotive photography and community event coverage has now evolved into a complete creative portfolio featuring:

We rely independently on our creativity to bring abundance to us 🎨

It might be a lonely mindset or way of life- but we are creators united in embracing the grind to prosperous upcoming, just the same as financial hawks, only we rely on self 💸

Generation Z VS. Gatekeepers:

I'm a creator under the name of Blake Ferguson Photography- and I was born in 1995 and raised through traditional North American practices.

I went to school, getting punished when caught cheating. 

No one fed me directions or answers- only instructions and criteria.

Rolling the dice into studying a creative field after struggling severely in high school, I followed through in self-investment and remain fruitful as a professional photographer today.

No one but myself sourced the answers for me,

I am proud to claim that my creative styles have only formed with original technicalities. (No presets or copy and paste)

While making it here today, shade is occasionally found in the comments- simply because I did not provide an answer; all respect goes lost.

Looking forward, I see that younger competition will quickly fall off while I'm approaching my 30s, and the upcoming is just beginning.

As one into streetwear fashion, long before photography came into play, this always continued as an interest but was concluded after poor financial spending.
