“Of course, I can’t let you go home with unbalanced karma. It’s a promise” Gestures over to the library. “Did you get everything you needed?”

Glances back at the library, which she totally forgot about. “Uh, right-- let me just grab my keys and put this away and I’ll be right back.”

“Listen, if you want to get in, you’re gonna need a second hair pin. Do you need help?”

“Yes! Please-- I will pay you in candy or money, I guess. Just help me.”

“Great. And after a drink– which I will pay for, then maybe– We can discuss how we can balance your karma, yeah?”

“As long as you promise that my karma will be balanced-- in one way or another.”

“So you’re not trying to steal some books?”

“As tempting as that is, I know for a fact the most I could make off these books is like a dollar a piece. And unless I plan on stealing every single book, I won’t make any profit.”

“Now I can’t let you do that can I? My dad raised me to be a gentleman. Drinks are on me.”

“---Maybe, I can go for just one. Especially since it’s just around the corner.”

“Can I buy you a drink? I know a place just around the corner”

“So, you help me break into my job and offer to buy me a drink? God, my karma is ridiculously unbalanced. At least let me pay for the drinks.”

“Is it working?”

“Maybe a little bit.”

“Sure. Yay deliquent!” Raises an eyebrow when she ignores his request and takes a step closer to her, smirking. “No, seriously. Give me your phone number and I’m sure it’ll balance your karma.”

She went quiet for a few moments, finally picking up on his signals. “Are you flirting with me, little delinquent?”

“Delinquent? That’s rude” He mumbled under his breath in the middle of the hug. Shaking his head at her offer, he smiled. “No need. I don’t even like chinese food. But how about– your phone number? I’m Lucas.”

“No, I don’t mean it in like a rude old person way. I meant like, yay delinquent! You know?” Raising an eyebrow at his suggestion, she laughed. “I’m Blake and really insist that you should have some food. Or money or something. My karma will be super off balance if I don’t pay you back for your generosity somehow, Lucas.”

“You don’t need to excuse yourself, lady. Let me help you” Gently pushes her out of the way and after like thirty seconds, he pushes the door open. “Voila.”

“How the--? Bless your little delinquent heart!” Totally pulls him in for a hug because she doesn’t understand boundaries. “Let me pay you, or feed you or something. How do you feel about chinese food? Because I have a shit ton of it in this bag with your name on it.”

They’re paid to give you what you want. Now that salad thing.. what was left? Carrots and dressing or?

Basically, yes. But apparently that’s not an appropriate meal, so.

People are going to be picky, it’s a part of life. My staff really needs to get on board with that.

I feel so guilty because I am one of the picky people of the world. Like just last week I went on a date with this guy and tried to be normal, but i ended up ordering a salad with no tomatoes, no onions, no kale and extra carrots. Like why am I the way that I am?

Done and done! I gotta say, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything this adorable, it kinda hurts my feelings. 

Let me see, let me see! God, this game is the best thing to happen to the world, my little Anderson. I’ve got all the cute oldies at the library playing it. We catch Pokemon together on our lunch breaks.

Don’t freak out, but there’s a Pikachu right on your shoulder and it’s quite possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.
