Title:Â Fairy Tale Endings
Rating:Â PG
Summary: "Your Daddy doesnât believe in happily ever afters.â âBut you guys are married and living happily ever after, arenât you, Papa?â âOf course we are. But your Daddy is too stubborn to admit it."Â
Notes:Â Schmoopy daddy!Kurtbastian for the road. <3Â
Sebastian yawned loudly as the credits finally began to roll across the screen, reaching across Kurt and their daughter to grab the remote and shut off the TV. Paxton jumped out of her seat and began spinning around the coffee table, the pink fairy dress she got for Christmas flowing out around her.
âDaddy, I really want to be a Princess someday, do you think Iâll ever get a Richard?â She asked, turning to smile at Sebastian. Sebastian snorted, recognizing the irony and muttering a sarcastic, âI sincerely hope not.â Kurt, missing it entirely, reached over and smacked him.
âWhat your daddy means to say,â Kurt quickly stepped in, âis that of course youâll find your true love one day, sweetheart.â After all, she was only seven. You couldnât go crushing her with all truths of reality yet. Sebastian rolled his eyes, pushing himself to his feet and grabbing his daughter around the waist. He pulled up the squealing girl and rested her on his hip.
âI think itâs time for bed, though. Itâs far past your bedtime.â Sebastian said, tapping her on the nose. Paxton scrunched up her face, glaring at her father in the way only a seven-year-old could.
âFairytale movies do that to him,â Kurt told her at the same moment Sebastian started to argue. Sebastian narrowed his eyes at him, but let his husband take their daughter into his own arms. âYour Daddy doesnât believe in happily ever afters.â
âBut you guys are married and living happily ever after, arenât you, Papa?â She asked, sounding honestly concerned.
âOf course we are,â he replied with a smile. âBut your Daddy is too stubborn to admit it. He likes acting like heâs too good for fairy tales.â
âI do not.â Sebastian argued, but Kurt was quick to counter, âOh, I can smell the hatred on your breath!â
âYeah, me too!â Paxton exclaimed, covering her nose with one small hand. Kurt laughed.
âThatâs ice cream,â he huffed, but the other two werenât listening. Kurt turned to his daughter with a shocked expression.
âOh, no, Pax. I think Daddyâs hatred rubbed off on you, I smell it on your breath, too!â He said. Paxtonâs hand moved down to her mouth, her blue eyes widening in horror. âThatâs okay, though, because do you know what cures that?â She shook her head, light brown hair flying wildly. âIf you go brush your teeth and get a good nightâs rest, you should be all healed up in the morning.â
Paxton couldnât get out of Kurtâs arms quickly enough, skipping off to the bathroom. Sebastian just watched her, silently astonished.
âHow do you do it?â He finally asked, stepping closer to his husband and sliding a hand around his waist. âI swear, itâs like you have her under a spell. Iâd be fighting with her for an hour trying to get her into bed.â
âI just have a special way with kids, what can I say?â He shrugged and tipped his chin in the air, breaking off in a quiet laugh.
âMaybe itâs âcause youâre the actual father,â he murmured, and Kurt sighed, tapping him on the chest lightly.
âYou are just as much her father as I am, Sebastian Smythe, now stop that.â He spoke quietly, seriously. âShe may have my chromosomes running through her body, but your stubbornness has definitely rubbed off.â He smiled a little. âMaybe thatâs why you butt heads. Sheâs like a mini you, stubborn and headstrong. Not to mention a snarky little witch when she wants to be.â
âAww, babe,â Sebastian grinned, leaning in to press a kiss to his husbandâs lips. âAfter all these years you still know how to flatter me.â Kurt laughed, shaking his head.
âDaddy! Papa! Iâm ready for bed!â Paxtonâs voice rang through the apartment along with her little footsteps as she ran from the bathroom to her bedroom. Kurt took a step back, sliding his hand down Sebastianâs arm and interlocking their fingers.
âCâmon, Daddy. Weâve got a bedtime story to read.â He said.
âBut she just watched a movie,â Sebastian groaned, reluctantly following behind him. âI just want to go to bed.â
Kurt chuckled and continued dragging his husband to their daughterâs room. Sometimes he wondered why he decided any of this would be a good idea. As he read Little Red Riding Hood for the nth time he watched as Sebastian lay in bed next to their daughter, nodding off almost every other page before heâd wake up again. Once he finished the book he looked up to find Sebastian asleep with Paxton curled up into his chest. Kurt just smiled, taking in the sight of his husband and his daughter cuddled together on her bed, and gently lay down on the sliver of bed remaining, reaching across her small form to rest his arm across Sebastianâs waist. This was why, these were the moments that made it all worth it.Â

Title:Â Noah Puckerman's Guide to Getting Girls (Or Guys)
Rating:Â PG
Summary: Lately it's seemed like the Puckster, the master of girls, seems to be slipping a little. And so I made a little guide to follow, Noah Puckerman's Guide to Getting Girls.
Note:Â This is an old thing I wrote, but I revamped it into Puckurt for the oh-so-amazing Charlie who plays Puck over at everyonesaroomie for the Roomies Secret Santa because I love her and this is the best I've ever written for Puck (which is sad I know). Anyway. Merry (past) Christmas everyone, and Happy New Year.Â
Lately it's seemed like the Puckster, the master of girls, seems to be slipping a little. I mean, I used to have girls lined up to make out with me at any given time, but nowadays, after having Beth, and Quinnâs crazy attempts at getting Beth back, Iâve only had one person on my mind. And it wasn't even a chick. Oddly enough, I was okay with that. It was something new, I liked the chase. But every time he turned me down... well, that was something new. It hurt in ways nothing has ever hurt before. It was weird. Â
And since then, I just seemed to have lost the old Puckerman charm. Now, girls just⌠walk right by me. They donât look up, they donât look at me and giggle with their friends, they donât walk up and give me their number. They just go right on by without a second thought. Itâs⌠weird. Something Iâm not used to. And Iâve been feeling something else Iâm not used to: loneliness.
I still managed to find a couple girls that wanted to make out with me in a janitors closet or behind the school, but it just didnât feelâŚright. I wanted something more, and I actually didnât mean sex. I wasnât really sure what, so I just wrote it off as âthis just isnât the right girlâ. And now, at one of the biggest social events of the year, it was the perfect time to try to find a girl. As I walked through Brittany Pierceâs front door to her annual âSpring Bashâ party I felt a little hopeful, and a little hopeless.
I mean, I had to find someone, just had to. It wasnât right that I was single, everyone else had someone. Finn had Rachel, Mike had Tina, Santana had Brittany, even the new foreign kid had gotten a girlfriend. It just wasnât right that no one had all of this to themselves.
And so I made a little guide to follow, Noah Puckerman's Guide to Getting Girls.
So I walked over to the punch bowl and got myself a drink, noticing only vaguely that it had already been spiked, and I stood back and just surveyed the party. My eyes skimmed through the crowd, all of the couples standing out as almost every single one of them were clung to each other.Â
Rachel was hanging all over Finn, giggling as while he whispered in her ear. It was almost disgusting, but at the same time something tugged in my chest. It was so weird.Â
I looked past them, simply because I thought I was going to puke if I saw them kiss one more time. That's when I noticed Kurt with Blaine. That one made me feel even sicker...Â
Back to my Guide.Â
Step 2: if theyâre eyeing you, they totally want you.
I noticed a cute little blonde girl looking at me from over her glass, her eyes lit with amusement and a hint of longing. I sat my glass down, putting on my best Puckerman Charm⢠and walked over to her.
âSo, you liking the party?â I asked casually. The girl looked up at me, smiling, and seemed to think the question over for a while before replying.
âParties arenât really my thing.â She told me and I caught a hint of something in her voice, a glint of that same something, almost like hunger, in her eyes.
âYeah, theyâre not really my forte eitherâŚâ I said slowly. âI was actually just about to get out of here, care to join me?â
âSure.â She almost purred the word. I grabbed her hand, pulling her through the crowd and out the front door. As soon as we walked out into the cool, comfortable night air she took over, walking in front me and pulling me around the house. Once we were in the darkness of the side of the house she pushed me back, pressing me against the brick wall.
âA girl who gets straight to the point,â I murmured quietly. âI like it.â
I could tell she was smiling as she leaned up and pressed her lips to mine, kind of soft and sweet at first, but it wasnât long before it turned into something sloppy, and dirty, and wet. Her hands ran across my chest, over my arms, down to my belt and back to repeat the cycle, while mine stayed firmly on her hips. After a while she pulled away, seeming aggravated with me.
âAre you going to move your hands or what?â She hissed. I was shocked for a minute, I had never had a girl hiss at me while we made out. And then I actually thought about the question, of course the old me would have felt her up in a heartbeat, but it felt kind of⌠wrong in a way.
And that was when I realized something, why my heart ached when I watched Kurt and Blaine, what the âmoreâ that I wanted was. I wanted a healthy, stable relationship. Not just some sleaze that would let me do whatever with her whenever. And there was only one woman that I wanted, only one that it felt right to have that relationship with.
I sighed and pushed her away, a first for me. âNo. I-Iâm sorry, Iâve got to go.â
She looked a little offended as I walked away. I felt a little bad for that, but there was something I had to do. I jogged around the house, back in through the front door. I had to do this.Â
The crowd had gotten even thicker since I left with that girl and I'd lost sight of all of my friends. I pushed my way through the throngs of people, music pulsing in my ears, or maybe it was my heart thumping in my chest with anxiety. There was no telling, I just had to find him. I finally caught sight of Finn next to the stairs.Â
"Hey, bro! Um, do you know where your brother is?" I asked. Finn looked a little confused by the question, but nodded and pointed toward the sliding glass door that led out back. I thanked him quickly and ran toward the door, nearly running through it instead of opening it and walking through. And there he was...
Kurt sat on a swing in the empty back yard, next to Blaine. Blaine was a nice kid, I knew, but I couldn't help but hate him just a little bit in that moment. I set my best glare on him and walked up, I assumed either in the middle of a joke or flirtatious line because Kurt was giggling until he saw me.Â
"Hey, Noah... what are you doing?" He asked, looking concerned. I stopped glaring at Blaine, my face softening as I turned to Kurt. I'd kill any of you that repeat this, but secretly I loved that he called me Noah...Â
"I need to talk to you." I said. Kurt sighed, giving Blaine an apologetic look. The kid just nodded and stood up, leaving with a gentle smile.Â
"Look, Noah, we've already been through this..."Â
"I know, but... I just..." Another first tonight. I was at a complete loss for words. I cleared my throat and tried again. âI realized something tonight. And that is that.. You are the only person I want, the only one that could ever get rid of this⌠This ache in my chest. I guess Iâve changed, because I donât just want someone to make out and have sex with anymore⌠I want⌠More. I want a real relationship. With you.â the words came out in a rush and I took a breath after I finished, looking at him nervously.
He smiled sweetly, but sadly. âNoah, this wouldn't work between us...â
âAnything can work if both people try and really want it.â I interrupted him quickly, âbut if it would make you more comfortable⌠I can wait. I can wait until youâre comfortable with it.â
âYou, Noah Puckerman, would wait for someone?â He almost sound shocked, and I should have been offended, but I was a little shocked, too. I nodded.
âTotally. Only you though, because youâre worth the wait.â I smiled, what I hoped would come off as charming, but I think it came out more nervous.
Kurt was quiet for a long while... Too long. I was starting to get nervous.Â
"I'll think about it," he finally said in an almost whisper. I couldn't stop the smile that spread across my lips.Â
"Seriously?"Â
"No promises," he said. "This... is still... really weird. I mean, you're... you and I'm me and... since when are you even into guys?"Â
"I don't know, honestly..." I muttered. Because, I really didn't. I had never thought about a guy in the way I thought about Kurt, until I met Kurt and started hanging out with him more after he became Finn's step-brother.Â
"I guess that's a conversation for another time," he said, standing. "But I think I'm going to get back to the party." He stood in front of me for minute, almost as if he were contemplating, then leaned up on tip toes to kiss my cheek. I blushed like a schoolgirl and I'm so thankful no one saw it because as soon as he did that, he was off and back in the house.
Step 3: If you've already found that girl, or guy, or whoever, don't keep chasing others. Keep your eyes on that someone and that someone alone, because if you really feel that you only want them, they'll be worth the wait and the chase.Â
Blaine never had an "easy" life; he was not as calm, cool, and collected as everyone thought. Here are five times that he broke, and the few people that actually witnessed it. Trigger warnings for mentions of bullying, self-harm, attempted suicides and sad Blainers.
Title: Party Favors
Pairing: Kurtbastian
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Going to a party with Rachel Berry was supposed to be a fun night back in Ohio with his friends before the holidays.
Going to a party with Rachel Berry was supposed to be a fun night back in Ohio with his friends before the holidays. He was supposed to drink and dance and maybe bump into a cute guy and talk and get to know each other. He was not supposed to run into Blaine, or Chandler. He was not supposed to sit alone at the bar nursing a martini and feeling sorry for himself. And he was most definitely not supposed to be forgotten by his best friend after she bumped into a cute guy and talked and got to know each other well enough to spend the rest of the night as his place. This night was not going how he had anticipated at all. Â
Kurt sighed, resting his cheek against his fist and leaning on the bar and pushing his drink away. He was a social drinker, he found no comfort in alcohol like most people, and right now the buzzing sensation under his skin was most unwelcomed because it kind of defeated the purpose of him throwing his own pity party. How do you feel sorry for yourself when youâre buzzed? Itâs rather difficult, and thatâs why Kurt decided to stop drinking. This night was not social enough for him to continue.
âNever thought Iâd see you around alcohol again.â
Kurt groaned, dropping his head onto the bar as soon as he recognized that smarmy voice. The same sarcastic lilt that it carried throughout his senior year at Lima High. He was suddenly aware of the proximity of his new visitor, he could feel heat radiating from the manâs body as he sidled up next to him and leaned over the bar to catch the bartenderâs attention and ask for a beer.
âWhatâs wrong, Princess? Not happy to see me again?â
âAu contraire, mon ami,â Sebastian said, taking his beer with a gracious smile and turning to face Kurt. âIf youâre having a bad night, I may be just what you need.â He winked, his smile falling back into the familiar smirk.
âNo, youâre really not.â Kurt stated, moving to slide off his barstool and leave, he could walk home from here he was sure. Sebastian grabbed Kurtâs elbow, the action alone enough to stop him.
âHey, câmon, Kurt,â he started. âI know we didnât get along in high school, but itâs been years. Two of them, actually. And weâre under very different circumstances now than when I was being an ass back then. Last I heard, you broke the engagement over a year ago. Letâs talkâŚâ
Kurtâs jaw clenched, his lips forming a thin line at the mention of his former engagement. It had been over a year, but it still stung a little, especially when he knows that Blaineâs here, under the same roof as him. And so is Chandler. Kurt crossed his arms over his chest, looking Sebastian over with an inquisitive look, pursing his lips. Sebastian raised an eyebrow, tilting his head a little as if to say âJust give me a shot?â
âFine,â Kurt finally sighed. âYou want to talk? We can, just not here.â
âWhere then?â Sebastian furrowed his brows, confused. Kurt looked around at the quickly thinning crowd as more and more people went off together. Iâd like to join that group, he thought, just wanting out of here.
âYou have a car?â Kurt asked. Sebastian nodding, patting the pocket Kurt assumed held his keys. âGreat, letâs get out of here.â He turned on his heel and began to move across the room, toward the exit. Sebastian opened his mouth to question him, but he was already gone.
âHey, wait!â He pulled his wallet out and threw a few dollars onto the bar before he slid from his seat, following Kurt as quickly as he could. He finally caught up just outside the door, the cold December air hitting him hard. Kurt scanned the parking lot.
âWhere are you?â He looked at Sebastian expectantly. Sebastian nodded his head toward the back of the lot, stepping off the curb and leading them toward his black Mustang. He unlocked the doors, both of them ducking into their seats and buckling, Sebastian starting the car before he finally turns to Kurt.
âWhere are we going exactly?â He questioned, still very confused by all of this.
âI donât know, just⌠not here. You can just circle the block if you want, I just donât want to be here.â Kurt said, staring out the passenger window. Sebastian nodded, putting the car into gear and pulling out of the lot and onto the street. Kurt watched the bar disappear in his mirror until it was nothing, blocked out by streetlights and houses and stop signs. They drive in silence for a while, Sebastian focused on the road and Kurt focused on trying to ignore that this night occurred at all.
âYouâre not leaving anyone back there thatâs going to get pissed at me for stealing you, are you?â Sebastian asked, mostly joking but still curious. Kurt shook his head.
âNah, Rach left with some guy⌠with the keys, actually, so I didnât really have a way to leave.â Kurt admitted.
âGreat friend,â Sebastian commented.
âSheâs the greatest.â Kurt murmured. He looked over at Sebastian, taking in his profile. He had definitely changed a little over the past two years, it wasnât really noticeable at first glance, but Kurt can tell how his jawlineâs more defined now, his face is thinner and heâs filled out some, no longer just a lanky teenager. Sebastian feels Kurtâs eyes on him but doesnât say anything, just keeps his eyes on the road and lets Kurt look until he finally comes out with a question of his own, âThanks for getting me out of there, but I have to ask, why?â
âBecause you went to college and got really fucking hot.â Sebastian said nonchalantly. âLike, even when youâre moping youâre pretty attractive. And youâre single now, so why not?â
âGetting into my pants isnât that easy, Smythe.â Kurt promised. Sebastian snorted.
âWho said anything about getting into your pants?â
âItâs you, Sebastian.â
âTouchĂŠâŚâ
They fell back into silence. Kurt watched as the buildings eventually disappeared altogether and streetlights began to pop up and few and far between, nothing breaking the darkness but Sebastianâs headlights cutting through the air and illuminating the snow on either side of the road.
âSo, did you get into NYADA?â Sebastian asked, glancing over to Kurt as he nodded.
âI did, after initially getting turned down. I finally got in.â Kurt recounted the story for him, how he managed to get his acceptance. âWhere did you end up after graduation?â
âIâm studying law at Columbia.â Sebastian told him with a proud smile.
âLaw? Ooh, following in your dadâs footsteps?â
âI guess you could say that,â Sebastian shrugged. âReally, itâs just something Iâm good at. And I actually really enjoy it.â
Kurt nodded, then, âWait, Columbia? Isnât that in New York?â
Sebastian laughed softly, âThat it is.â
âAre you stalking me? Is that what all of this really is?â
Sebastian laughed again, a little harder this time, âNot exactly. Columbiaâs where my dad studied, he insisted. Trust me, if I were stalking you this would have happened a lot sooner.â
Kurt chuckled, surprised to find himself actually feeling a little better about the night. He was currently in a car with Sebastian Smythe, but it was relieving, getting away from that bar and his ex-fiancĂŠ and his horrible mood. They continued to make small talk, discussing various aspects of the past two years of their lives. Sebastian tells Kurt his favorite place to get coffee in New York, which just so happened to be the same place Kurt had gone for a few months straight. Same for most of his other usual hangouts, and really itâs surprising that they hadnât run into each other until tonight. Kurt regales with stories of his adventures living with Rachel and Santana, and Sebastian shares his own experiences with various roommates in the past, though now he has his own apartment. Sebastian laughs and smiles in ways Kurtâs never seen, all signs of animosity in their interactions gone, making way for actual pleasure in each otherâs company. Kurt feels that buzz under his skin again, but this time it isnât from the alcohol, and while heâs absolutely bewildered that Sebastian of all people is making him feel this way, heâs enjoying it.
Heâs not exactly sure where theyâre driving, and heâs really not sure if Sebastian does either. He follows the nothingness out the window as that comfortable silence falls over them again. Heâs just about to ask just where theyâre at when Sebastian speaks up.
âDo you want to see my favorite place in Westerville?â Sebastian asked, glancing at Kurt quickly to register his expression.
âSureâŚâ
Sebastian gave him a sharp nod and turned down a side street. If Kurt didnât know better, heâd venture to say that Sebastian looked a little nervous all of a sudden. But Sebastian doesnât get nervous, heâs confident and sure in everything he does, even after two years. They followed a few more unfamiliar streets, Kurt anxiously looking out the windows because he was extremely curious as to what could possibly be considered Sebastianâs favorite spot in Westerville. Would it be another bar? No, they were now following a lot of streets with houses lining either side, colored lights hanging from all possible surfaces and a giant snowman or Santa Claus in every other lawn. A park? Sebastian didnât seem like an âoutdoorsyâ type, but there was always a chance.
âItâs⌠Itâs a little weird,â he started, stuttering in a way that Kurt had never heard before. Was he actually nervous? Kurt turned to him as the car smoothly rolled to a stop near the top of a hill, in the middle of the street. âI just⌠I used to take this way home a lot when I would leave Dalton, and it would always be at night and I started noticing the scenery and, especially around Christmas, itâs just⌠beautiful. The lights of the town, and the way the Christmas lights are reflected off the snow⌠I love it.â Sebastian stopped, sounding a little breathless as he stared out the windshield. There was something new in his tone and expression that Kurt had never seen before. He was⌠vulnerable. Kurtâs lips tugged at the corner as he realized that Sebastian was actually opening up to him a little. Sure, it was just the little fact of how much he liked the view from this particular hill on this particular street, but it was something. Kurt turned to actually take in the view and suddenly he understood the breathlessness he heard in Sebastianâs voice.
From where they sat, you could perfectly see the multiple globes of streetlights and the ever-changing traffic lights. They seemed to be floating in the darkness, like warm, comforting orbs. Every now and then headlights would appear for a moment and disappear just as quickly, like shooting stars in the distance. This view was outlined by the snowbanks, which held a tint of color from all the Christmas lights surrounding them. It was a breathtaking sight. Kurt unconsciously reached out to put his hand over Sebastianâs on the console between them. Sebastian tore his eyes away from the lights and looked down at their hands, feeling the warmth coming off of Kurtâs smooth palm. Without a second thought, he turned his hand up and laced their fingers together, squeezing Kurtâs hand gently and looking back out at the town before them. They stayed like that, hands interlocked and staring out the window, for a while until Sebastian finally spoke.
âWe should probably go now, Iâm sure a car parking in the middle of the street at nearly midnight is a bit unnerving to the residents.â Sebastian let go of Kurtâs hand and putting the car into gear so they could continue the drive back to Lima, the car completely silent except for the soft hum of Christmas music from the speakers and Kurt occasionally giving Sebastian directions. They finally came to a stop outside of Kurtâs Ohio home, Sebastian putting the car into park and turning to Kurt.
âSo⌠here we are.â
âHere we are,â Kurt repeated, looking out at his house. Carole had taken over decorations the past couple of years, meaning it actually looked festive during the Christmas season. White lights hung along the roof and strands of colored lights were wrapped around the posts of the small porch. Kurt looked back at Sebastian. âThanks, for the ride, and getting me out of there,â he said, giving the other boy a small smile. âAnd⌠thanks for sharing that spot with me.â He added. Sebastian huffed out what Kurt assumed was supposed to be a laugh, nodding.
âSure thing, Kurt.â
Kurt hesitated with his hand on the handle, biting his lip and contemplating. Sebastian looked at him with a questioning look, but before he could open his mouth Kurt leaned over and pressed a short kiss to his chapped lips. He ducked out of the car before Sebastian could respond, or even really process what happened. He was surprised to find a small smile tugging at his lips and shook his head a little as he put the car in gear and drove off. Kurt Hummel was something else.Â
