I don't know if it's "the best chance", but something much more practical would be to publicize the case, contribute to legal funds, and so on. They're explicitly filing appeals, and even by liberal democratic standards the trial was a farce. That's so much more immediate and more tangible to support than praying for a pardon years down the road
