This is my anonymous little blog for my current fixations and interests! I am currently cutting down on social media so Im only kind of active here.

When I eventually collect the physical manga I’m gonna have to study the crap out of it.

I’m pretty new to anime and manga. I’m more a comics person always have been. I have a couple hang ups about anime (nothing crazy just style choices I don’t care for). When I moved out I watched Fullmetal Alchemist for the first time. It’s still the anime that is my favorite and nothing has really hit me like that

However I watched YNT and got immediately attached to Yuru and tentatively got the first manga volume… and now I have all that are available right now lol

I’m a big advocate for physical media so I do want to get DVDs of my favorite animes/movies/shows when I can (I really need FMA Ngl) but also if I really like an anime I have been thinking about getting the manga. Which in YNT case I have. I’m working on FMA but I’d like to get Vinland Saga and Yona the Dawn (so intimidating cause there’s so many) as well. Those are the main ones although I do have a couple of the Apothecary Diaries light novels/mangas

My spare room is my craft and nerd room so it’s full of comics and action figures of many of my interests (except lotr cause those go in my room) for which there is many.

And boyyyyy do I have many

But I can’t get over the fact that it’s hardly acknowledged that Hak is pretty much set up to be the fall guy. Through the story, people mention about how Hak killed the king/rumored Hak killed the kind etc. etc.

And I’m just… I can’t get over that.

Cause if Soo Won was entirely successful with the takeover, Yona and the king are dead… Hak would almost definitely be the fall guy. There’s no way they didn’t think he’d defend the king and the princess. There’s no way they didn’t think he’d fight the opposition.

And even tho Soo Won always suspected Hak would kill him or whatever, if Hak did kill him right away; then this whole thing would be for naught. The only thing that would change could be a power vacuum with no heir.

But no matter the outcome, Hak comes out in the view as the murderer. If the coup had entirely succeeded as planned, he probably would have been killed in defense of the Princess/King. Or if he has survived and taken captive, he probably would have been executed for “killing” the king/princess.

Even if he got away, he wouldn’t be able to go home or at least not stay. It would put his family and clan/tribe in danger. He’d be a wanted criminal (similarly to canon cause it’s often mentioned people think he killed the King).

People mention how much Soo Won affected Yonas life and stuff. And they talk about how Soo Won broke Hal’s trust but oh boy it’s so much more than that too.

Canon is probably the best case scenario for this. Any other way, Hak’s life would be ruined and any other way, he’d be dead or entirely alone.

Hilariously right as I did, Daemons of the Shadow Realm/Yomi no Tsugai stated and I went oh haha same author. So I’m keeping it for a while to watch that.

Anyways my point is I MIGHT be yapping a bit about some of the anime’s I’ve been watching depending on how much I like them.

But one of them is motivated by the fandom. I know people like shipping and I have mixed feelings as always. I really like Hak and Yona but I don’t like them… realistically(?) I’ll explain that sometime else

But now I’m thinking if Yona had been killed at the Palace as intended (?) in the beginning, Hak would have been framed for her murder too just as it was thought he had killed the King in canon.

Can you imagine? This 17/18 year old boy - a leader and general in his own right - framed for the murder of his best friend by his other best friend. Hak plays this off as he always does in canon with the whole King thing but my goodness, I can’t even imagine. I think it would have been interesting if the writer has dug a bit into that.

I’ve watched very little. Snippets of shows from my sisters, a couple of movies that a friend showed me or had me watch with her, etc. I never picked up a manga in my life.

I moved out of my parents pretty late than average in a typical western household. It was a good time to do it although my parents by no means chased me out. But one day I was thinking about an anime/manga that my sister used to read(?) and although looking back I think it was actually something else, I was led into my first real watch through of an anime that I finished.

Fullmetal Alchemist.

Long story short, loved it. Loved the characters loved the story and the themes and the lessons. Oh. Boy. Here I was, alone in my new apartment, by myself for the first time and watching this masterpiece of animation.

(And yes I’ve seen 03 and Brotherhood)

That was that. Fast forward to now, I’ve watched some animes since. Not many, not a lot it’s still not my preferred medium. There are some aspects I don’t care for. No big. I’ve been pretty desperate lately so I’ve tried a few. Nothing that compared to FMA. And then I heard the writer of Fullmetal made a new one and it was becoming an anime so I went sure. Let’s try it.
