I don't actually like the end of strive that much especially when viewed as like an Asuka redemption because he literally didn't change. Sol didn't actually consent to Asuka once again messing with his body for his own reasons that don't actually have much to do with Sol. Like he gave Sol an ultimatum lmfao his only 2 options were to accept what was happening to him or kill him. He clearly has not learned to think of people as people. Even if losing the flame of corruption is like a net positive for Sol it's still Asuka making decisions about his life and body without considering him or his opinions on the matter

I don't think Sol telling Asuka that it's "none of his business" (literally true) was an act of self harm or whatever I think he was clearly expressing a boundary and then Asuka crossed it because he just doesn't care
