make memories

I hate small talk. I want to talk about atoms, death, aliens, sex, intellect, the meaning of life, far away galaxies, music that makes you feel different, memories, the lies you’ve told, your flaws, your favourite scents, your childhood, what keeps you up at night, your insecurities and your fears. I like people with depth, who speak with emotion from a twisted mind. I don’t want to know what’s up.

I am trying to both be happy and pay attention to the world around me. I do not know if it is possible to do both at the same time.

I like people with depth, I like people with emotion, I like people with a strong mind, an interesting mind, a twisted mind, and also someone that can make me smile.

Those little moments, when golden light pours through your window and illuminates the room, when the fog below the highway creates a sea of whirling grey, when her eyes open after laughing and the whole world stops for an instant. As if shards of heaven rained down to make these little things of perfection.

There’s nothing I can do and it hurts so much.

You don’t need another human being to make your life complete, but let’s be honest. Having your wounds kissed by someone who doesn’t see them as disasters in your soul, but cracks to put their love into, is the most calming thing in this world.
