Iran has the right to defend itself

Let’s be real: the party loves Black women loud at rallies and quiet in back rooms. It loves our turnout, our organizing, our “thank you, Black women” speeches on election night. But when it comes to endorsements, resources, and institutional backing, suddenly we’re “too polarizing,” “too performative,” or “not electable.” Translation: too Black, too direct, too unwilling to shrink. 

Black women have carried Democrats for more than 60 years. If this is the reward—being swapped out for a more “comfortable” white candidate the moment you want a promotion—then maybe it’s time to stop treating loyalty as a one-way street. 

If the Democratic Party can’t stand up for Jasmine Crockett now, Black women should take note. Because a party that only loves you when you’re useful doesn’t love you at all.
