Now I love playful teasy tickles. Casual wrestling on the couch or lazily straddling someone’s lap. And most of the time I love just that.

This one is for the gigglers. . . The moaners. . . The squirmers and the gaspers. . .

😶‍🌫️🤯😵‍💫❤️ to start with

They're actually really easy to control once you understand their motivation. And generally I split them up into three groups.

1. Attachment issues. Brats in this category need constant reassurance that you love them but often can't communicate that to you. So they seek this reassurance by breaking rules to test if you care about them enough to put them in their place. It's not a game and it should be taken seriously. If you're consistent with your rules they will eventually learn that they are loved and will stop intentionally breaking rules. If you've ever parented a 2-4yo you know what I mean.

2. Masochists. These brats, some way or another, have learnt that the best way to get their dom to hurt them is by acting out. You can control these brats by: a) internalising that punishments aren't good tools for training. b) using pain as a reward. c) reassuring them that there's nothing wrong with wanting pain and rewarding them when they use their words.

3. Fucking Brats. These brats just enjoy fighting, they want you to fight back and they want to loose. You can control these brats by refusing to engage or by communicating to them that this is not the time and you don't want to fight right now. You can train the brat out of them by using disappointment but honestly if you don't also enjoy the fight then you probably shouldn't be playing with this type of brat.

Secret 4th option. Obedient submissives who just like to banter and have been labeled brats by people who have never experienced an actual brat.

So

Type 1, if you've identified that this is you then congratulations, you've taken the first step in overcoming something that can be a huge barrier in relationships. Much like not messaging a friend to see how long it takes them to message you testing your partner like this can be unhealthy. It is generally a trauma response and probably not something that you actually want to do or feel like you have much control over. But having an understanding of what you're doing and why you're doing it will help. I hope you find someone to show you love in the way you need <3

Type 2, you need to internalise that wanting to be hurt is not a character flaw, and that asking for something you want isn't selfish. I know that's much easier said than done, but asking for pain and then getting to enjoy it without the guilt of that pain being treated as a punishment will be much healthier and much more fun for everyone. (Yes I know people enjoy 'funishment' scenes that's a different thing)

Type 3, love your work, keep being annoying as hell and getting your ass beat for it. Just make sure you're being a brat ethically. Be a brat with consent, be a brat when it's appropriate, and make sure it's a fun game you're playing with your dom not a source of hurt for either of you.

Type 4, please ask yourself these questions. 1, am I being punished for enjoying talking back? 2, if so do I want to be punished for this thing I enjoy? 3, if yes is the punishment fair for the thing I'm doing or is it inordinate. Because I've seen type 4's get into relationships with brat breaker doms and they often leave those relationships with an important part of them just a little bit broken and it's really sad.

Type 5, if you don't feel you fit into any of these categories that doesn't make you wrong or bad or anything. This list is not perfect and not everyone is going to fit into the nice boxes I've outlined. I'd love it if you'd reply to this with the type of brat that you are so I can learn more.
