There was never any intention to release these songs to the public. I had made these for myself; explorations of recording techniques and ways of playing instruments. Selecting groups of notes, playing each group at random, recording multiple takes without monitoring or even trying to remember what I had done in the first place. Everything relaxed. Everything at it's own pace.
I listened to these songs for a few months. To and from work, sitting in my room, reading, playing video games. I enjoyed the space they created when I turned them on. Enjoyed how they let me insert my thoughts in-between the notes. I started coding a video game, intent on turning into a virtual space the landscapes these songs created.
Both have gotten extremely out of hand, and that's great. I'm relishing the opportunity to create a virtual space for people to explore, the way these songs encourage it. Not a journey that holds your hand and shows you what to look at, but a map. Find your own landmarks.
