What is Black Codes

A community of newly freed Black peoples are targeted by their previous capturers with new tactics of profiting from their bodies once more. Jemima, one of the few who never felt a whip, is determined to keep her family out of Mr. Corvus horrendous fields by believing in a folktale that others fear.

I've worked on Black Codes since 2020, it is a culmination of my anger at the world/god and the satisfaction of knowing I am my ancestors' wildest dreams come true.
