Veyeth has terrible dreams of a plot against her mother. No one believes her, including her own rider. But it turns out that she'd overheard the plot in the egg and it was all true. Her rider has let everyone continue believing the bit about her being a prophetic genius dragon, though.

Golden — a classical european dragon, always a set of horns forming a “crown”, ideal posture makes them look almost noble

Bronze — bear-shaped, chunky, smaller head compared to other dragons, horns are rounded and rather small

Brown — somewhere between the golden and the bronze, a bit more beefy tho, bull/ram type of horns

Green — skinny and sleek, kinda snake-looking, long neck and whip-like tail, “sharp” wings

Blue — longer body, rounded horns and crest, a little thingy on the chin, holding their tails swirled at the tip

Ruth — I believe he looks like a teenage dragon even when mature, his head is a bit bigger, his paws are like... Wider? And he's such a scrunkly scrimblo maybe even a mipy (affectionately)

I wanted to use this as a Symbolism day but it didn't quite fit.

it works about 2/3 of the time, because most hatchlings choose to select a candidate that is mostly unsuitable rather than dying.

Caron, a particularly unlucky candidate, has sat in the hatching room through three failed impressions, and has watched three little bronze dragons whine and shuffle in the recessed sand pit, casting about desperately for someone who would never come. Someone that was not him. The first time, he tried moving towards the bronze, the biggest one in the clutch, helping him out of its shell. He had given the human boy desperate consideration, his whirling anxious eyes meeting Caron's, but had ultimately turned away, and gone between.

The second and third were not much different; although he tried different things each time, both dragons died.
