Avdol with a daughter practicing spells:

First of all, he’s going to want to deal with the doves. They are literally everywhere and they’re doing him a stress. It’s quite funny watching him waving his arms to scare them out of the house.

Secondly, he wants to sit down and talk things with you. He tries not to be irritable, but you can tell he’s disappointed that you couldn’t talk to him about this first.

Overall, he’s very happy that you’ve decided to embark on spell casting. After all, he’s both a Stand user and a fortune teller, so he respects greater interest into one’s own spirituality.

He wants to be very involved in your magical journey, but he also wants to make sure that your spell book is safe. You don’t know what a Stand truly is, as you don’t have one, but you’re fairly certain your spell book isn’t one… He checks like, 30 times anyway.

Avdol is very happy to teach you fire spells, more so than the rest of the elements. He’s also very good at instructing you on how to control it. No matter how many times he tells you his Stand has fire powers, it’s hard to comprehend when you see him set fire to things without touching them.

Your prowess with transformation spells fascinates him. He now understands that, whilst you’ve now mastered turning inanimate objects to live ones and vice versa, you can’t control how many live creatures can come from larger objects (whence the masses of doves).

He really wants you to learn foresight, although admittedly that’s the part of magic that interests you least. You don’t have the heart to tell him this, though, so agree to learn the arts of a fortune teller.

He’s very cautionary towards summoning spells, especially as he’s encountered certain horrific bloodsuckers. He doesn’t want you summoning anything dangerous, although you reassure him constantly that you would never dabble in black magic.

You really like levitating spells, but those ones scare the heck out of him. He’s so worried that, whilst you’re up high, you’ll fall down! Whenever you demonstrate how high off the ground you can float, he gets ready to catch you, even though you’re current limit is 0.84m (just under 3 feet off the ground).

SDC Joseph with a 17yo daughter who feels depressed and insecure

For starters, he is very quick to notice when his precious “baby-no-matter-how-old-you-are” daughter is feeling unhappy.

At first, he will offer to buy a lot of things to cheer you up: bags, jewellery, clothes, shoes and food, but he will catch on that material things aren’t very helpful right now.

Once he’s finished his preamble, Joseph will give you the biggest, longest hug he can offer. He’s really good at hugs and he knows that sometimes a shoulder to cry on is a necessity.

He really doesn’t mind how long you need to cry for. Joseph will stay for you as long as you need him without a single complaint.

He will crack a few jokes when your tears begin to subside more. He believes that if he can get you to laugh, then he can begin planning a day of fun activities that you want to do. If you don’t laugh, he’ll become visibly stressed and begin to worry about you.

Joseph is incredibly understanding. He doesn’t mind why you’re upset, just as long as he can make you happy again!

A day in with food, movies and face masks, whatever you want, he’ll be willing to do with you! Joseph would have the popcorn and chic flick on for you if that’s what you wanted, but you better decide quick, otherwise he’ll want you to listen to his Weird Al Yankovic favourites!

Realistically, though, once you feel a bit better, he will want to talk about it. Joseph wants to understand what it was that got you down, whether the reason is internal or external. Either way, he is supportive and understanding, and will always be there for you should you feel depressed again.

Joseph understands your insecurities a little less, but that’s just because he himself is too damn confident. In his eyes, no Joestar would ever feel insecure!

Because he doesn’t quite understand why you would feel insecure about yourself, he can be a little impatient and get frustrated trying to convince you that there’s nothing wrong with you.

Give him time, though, and he will realise that there are times when you genuinely don’t like yourself.

This will really upset him, because in his eyes, you’re perfect! He will really try to make you feel valued in every way he can by telling you how kind and wonderful and beautiful you are, and that nobody in this planet is good enough for you.

Annoyingly, he might take random candids just to tell you how beautiful you look in the photos. He might stop if you tell him to, but he likes making photo albums anyway, so he probably won’t…

He might also make stupid jokes in an attempt to cheer you up. For example, “You look like me! How could you possibly have anything wrong with you?”

Bruno Bucciarati

As the Capo, being able to address a crowd, large or small, is simply a duty for Bucci. He takes presentations too seriously, regardless of the situation.

Bucci’s really good at talking to other people and he never gets nervous doing it. He’s calm and collected, speaking clearly and slowly so that he can be easily understood. His sense of purpose engages his audience.

His bibliography is clean and filled with sources that are relevant to his topic. Bucci does a good amount of research until he feels confident he knows enough about his topic to present it.

His PowerPoints are clean-cut and professional. None of these messy transition crap or iridescent text colours. For Bucci, the simpler the PowerPoint looks, the better. Relevant diagrams and tables are labelled corrected and positioned neatly.

Bucci gets a well-deserved A/73%, and is more than happy with it. In truth, he doesn’t really care about the grade, so long as his message is delivered.

Leone Abbacchio

Presentations are boring and tiring in Abbacchio’s eyes. As such, he treats them with a manner of “get it over and done with”.

Because of this attitude, he comes across as aloof and bored which, incidentally, he is. Although he’s slow and clear at talking, he can mumble a bit at the end of sentences, which makes him a little difficult to understand at times.

Since he doesn’t care about the outcome, Abbacchio will include relevant sources. He doesn’t have tonnes, but the ones he uses are all good.

He applies minimal effort to each of his PowerPoints. They’re of simple design. Still, the formatting is clean and neat.

He actually gets a C+/59%, which he pretends doesn’t bother him, but it actually does...

Pannacotta Fugo

He feels nothing particularly positive or negative towards presentations. He treats them with the same indifference he does with the rest of his academic work.

Fugo has never been one to get nervous about presenting. He is clear and direct, very much like Bucciarati, and puts across his points in an effective and organised manner.

There’s a lot of sources used throughout the presentation, which Fugo compares and analyses, and refers back to. His engagement with his sources is, as to be expected, outstanding.

His PowerPoints are clean cut and professional. Once more, there is source engagement, timetables, diagrams, co-ordinated arguments and the order of each slide is perfectly placed.

He gets an A*/80+%. What did you expect? He has an IQ of 152!

Guido Mista

Oh, boy... Presenting is not his strong point. He’s more of a guns blazing kind of guy (no pun intended) rather than a structured debate type.

He gets uncharacteristically nervous. Normally, he doesn’t stress about talking in front of others, but when a grade is attached to his performance, it makes him worry. He talks too quick and it’s a wonder how he doesn’t run out of breath!

He’ll read a bit here and there, but he’s not really interested in books or scholarly debate. Since he much prefers to flow through things, he will sometimes make information up- and get into trouble for it!

The PowerPoints he makes are very basic. Sometimes, he won’t even change the original format, but he includes images. There’s some effort, but it’s nothing special.

He gets a solid C/54% and calls it a day! He has much more interesting things to think about!

Narancia Ghirga

Bless this boy’s soul. He really wants to be good at learning, but presentations are the absolute worst. They stress him out so much and he never does particularly well despite the amount of work they take.

He stammers, stutters, looks at his notecards and at the computer screen- but never at the audience. He can’t fake the possible looks of judgement he’s receiving! He can’t articulate very well, either, talking to quickly and too quietly.

He reads a lot, actually, but he can’t engage with his selected sources very well. He struggles to identify certain debates and arguments amongst academics, and most sources he doesn’t even understand.

His PowerPoints are very colourful and active... which isn’t a good thing. They can be distracting, which is his intent, but also garish. He crams multiple images onto one side and his font sizes are different. His PowerPoint looks very messy as a result.

Despite his efforts, this poor boy still only gets a D+/47%. He gets really sad about it, too! He really put his back into that!

Giorno Giovanna

He doesn’t really give a damn about presentations, but if one comes up, he’ll flawlessly nail it.

Giorno has a natural charisma that helps him present clearly and concisely, but also to engage his audience with the topic. He’s good at reaching people’s hearts, just because he understands how gullible people can be and how to trick them... There is some authenticity in his enthusiasm, which helps him send his point across.

There’s a lot of sources there, but don’t be fooled. He hasn’t read any of them. All Giorno’s done is research key words, pick out single sentences and deem those sources as read. Unfortunately, he won’t learn otherwise, because it works in his favour due to his competence with being able to manipulate information.

His presentations serve their purpose. They display information and imagery and highly the key points of his argument. They can sometimes come across as a little empty, as Giorno tends to fill in gaps with a lot of explanation and analysis.

Josuke Higashikata

Presenting isn’t Josuke’s favourite thing to do, but if it’s a requirement for a grade, then he’d make it important for himself.

Since he’s not that bothered, he doesn’t get nervous. He finds it easy to maintain his composure, so gives a strong performance that keeps people interested.

However, this is Josuke. He’s not going to hit the books in a panic, but a decent amount of reading to help him get a standard result will be what he chooses.

There are times when he gets carried away with transitions. He mostly puts them in to distract viewers and assessors of potential flaws in his information. Sometimes he chooses transitions that make slow, awkward changes, something he soon regrets.

He gets a solid B. Any more, and his mum would raise her expectations for next time, so he’s happy!

Koichi Hirose

He absolutely despises presentations. They make his palms sweat and everyone seems to be judging him! He even dislikes talking about things he’s interested in!

Koichi gets unbelievably nervous, which is definitely taken into account during the grading process. However, it means that, despite his wealth of knowledge on the subject, he’s prone to stammer and trip over his words.

Koichi will do so much reading that his brain will hurt. This is his element, so where he can gain a lot of points he will work his hardest. His bibliographies are always nicely decorated and thicc.

His PowerPoints are basic, but formal. He uses a few design features and images relevant to what he talks about, but you won’t have zooming transitions or elaborate, bold colours. He keeps it understated.

Koichi gets an A, and he’s very happy about it! He’ll treat himself to Tonio’s for it!

Okuyasu Nijimura

“Wait, we have a presentation tomorrow?” Yep, he’s one of those. The process of Okuyasu’s presentations has a very chaotic energy.

He’s incredibly good at talking, but none of it is particularly well-informed or fact-checked. He might sound convincing, but don’t be deceived. His words have zero substance.

Wikipedia is his God and saviour. A quick skim read and Okuyasu will consider himself a guru of his chosen topic.

If there’s a PowerPoint, expect black writing on a plain white background. Sentences will be full and hurriedly typed out. He “didn’t have time” to find images, but if there are, they’re from the same Wikipedia page he read from.

Joseph Joestar

He really loves talking about things he’s interested in, so when it comes to the topic, he picks something he enjoys!

Joseph doesn’t really get nervous. He’s very good at talking and, if he does slip up on the rare occasion, he’d make a good recovery in time with a charismatic joke!

He doesn’t do a lot of reading beforehand, just because he’s not that interested in reading. If possible, audio or video sources are his preference, or short web pages.

Animations. Animations wherever he can possibly put them. Lots of photos, too. His PowerPoints are very busy.

He would get a B-/61% and be perfectly happy with that.

Muhammad Abdul

His topic would have to be something he really enjoys, otherwise his presentation would come across as a little flat.

He gets a little nervous, but once he’s up there, he’s fine. Still, he’s not the best at engaging an audience and will mutter a short “sorry” if he does make a mistake.

Abdul will do intense research beforehand. He wants to know all the facts before tackling the topic at hand. His bibliographies are eye-watering.

He will choose a simple design format, but that’s as visually entertaining as his presentations will ever get. The only photos present will be relevant to what he’s saying.

He would get an A-/71% and worry about what he could’ve done better.

Jean Pierre Polnareff

He hates doing presentations, but mostly because they’re a lot of effort. For this reason, he comes across as bored when presenting, regardless of the topic.

If he gets uncertain about how he comes across in front of others, he’ll begin to “uh” a lot. Because of this, he can sometimes talk too quickly, which makes it hard to follow what he’s saying.

Honestly, Polnareff doesn’t rate the research much, either, just like Joseph. He’d gather a few articles here and there, but he’d mostly resort to websites.

Polnareff likes to make his PowerPoints aesthetic, so there will be effort. He likes to use imagery, and will often substitute words for pictures that he can explain, which can be a little confusing at times.

He would get a C+/59% and be incredibly bitter about it. Not for long, though.

Noriaki Kakyoin

Although they aren’t his favourite, Kakyoin will try his hardest, no matter what topic the presentation is on.

He gets incredibly nervous about presenting beforehand, but you wouldn’t notice this unless you were close to him. His delivery is almost flawless, save the rare pause if he needs to gather his thoughts.

Research doesn’t take Kakyoin long. He knows where to find the relevant articles and sources, and how to apply them effectively.

Is a diagram needed? Then it’s there. What about a table? Also there, and footnoted perfectly. Images are engaged with. There aren’t any silly slide transitions and the design doesn’t limit text and image space. This is a boy skilled in the art of PowerPoint.

Because of his hard work, he will get an A+/79%, but guess what? Kakyoin will be disappointed he didn’t hit the A* mark.

Jotaro Kujo

Of course, he hates presentations. Any form of schoolwork is a burden on his person.

It’s not that he gets nervous, but he hates talking in front of people. Simply put, he’s not very good at it. Jotaro mumbles a bit too much, and he’s a man of few words, so sometimes his points come across as underdeveloped.

He’ll read the minimum number of sources required for it to be a decent amount of research. Other than that, he won’t go the extra mile.

Like Abdul, his PowerPoints are very simple. There is little effort applied, but they do their purpose of sending a clear message.
