Wild sableye are what are most commonly described in the pokedex. Skittering creatures that lurk in shadows stealing souls.

Physically, their posture would probably be hunched and possess highly maneuverable hands and feet to be able to cling to cavern walls and ceilings. They stick in pairs to hunt, one using the flashes from its crystal eyes to distract and stun their target while the other melds into the shadows, sneaking in to make an attack.

Domesticated sableye are night and day to one's caught in the wild. These coming from intensive selective breeding to get a golden coat for their gem goblins. Their posture is much more upright and their claws are more blunt. The optic crystals are also smaller and more evenly cut, whereas in the wild theirs are more asymmetrical and rougher to refract more light.

Their instinct to pair with another has led domesticated sableye to often pick one thing to bond with that they never leave the side of, be it a person, a pokemon, or their favorite toy.
