I turn to you like a sunflower to the sun.

You help me grow, warm my soul and brighten my world.

You are my best friend.

Bodies are gatherings

Unions of stardust and atoms

They age, live and die

Water, flesh or earth

They grow, stretch and react

Temporary collections of extraordinary things

A long time ago,

In a land far away

There sat an old umbrella,

In the corner of ye old cafe

It’s colour was faded

And handle quite worn,

Battered and burnt,

Third panel fairly torn.

But oh, if that umbrella could talk

It could tell you great stories.

Of fierce queens and great pirates

Old wizards and their glories

But alas that old umbrella

Forgotten and ignored,

Remains in its corner

Just a prank they said

A joke

But you see the thing is,

All my life I’ve lived by sea.

A vast, blue , salty childhood friend.

My friend taught me to swim and play

She stroked my feet as I learnt the beauty of nature

And delivered a cold blow when I discovered it’s power.

I’ve travelled far with her guiding support

Dreamed of her voice when I ventured inland

She is cold and un wielding

Harsh, sharp and proud

My salty friend

Up, down

Left and right

I see it all

No decimal un noticed

No inch to small

These red lips can scream

These red lips can shout

Move slow and stand still

Pull back and pout out

But never forget

You are a doughnut amoung mere bagels,

No matter how scary or dark things seem,

never forget to look for the stars.

Do you know that feeling in your brain and heart you get when your laying in your bed late at night, thinking of the meaning of life and death, how the earth spins round a ball of gas in a sea of space in a universe with no tangible end...... yeah that feeling. A hot feeling of panic and numb pain, your cheeks flush and heart pounding.
