Cause claudia told him to stop making everything about him and his self pity, he only tried once to kill himself, in nola he was just crying and harassing her calling her every second via thelepaty even tho she said she didnt want anything to do with him, (thats a grown ass woman btw shes not his baby she was like 30 yo at this point) and in SF he tried to off himself only because he thought that claudia wanted him with him, now that he knows that she hates him way more than lestat or even armand, not for his action but as a person and hates him more everytime he feels guilt and use her memory to cry on his terrible life, he's just okay to go out with his husband that loves and support him in the park with nothing bad happening after.
