Armin smiled as the other stood up, nodding to his question. “To the forest now.” With that, the boy went and lead him through the pathways of sheep, gently moving some around. They soon made it out of the sheep pen, and that was when the shorter of the two led the other towards the forest.
The trek there was a bit long, especially with maneuvering through the townspeople and their daily activities. When they were in the forest, Armin hummed softly as he sat down upon a fallen log for a moment on the outskirts of the taller trees. “This is going to take some time, so you’re going to really need to put aside your fear of dragons for this. I’ll be here with you though, and I’ll help you, ok?” He smiled softly at the other, hoping he put some sort of drive into him to continue with this plan.
This forest is a haven for dragons, mostly those who’ve been injured. And while Eren’s used to believing wholly in the idea that they deserve it, it’s hard not to shake the fear that some with terrible grudges against humanity won’t come out and bite their heads off. It’s hard to break his near life-long promise to kill them all when their true nature has been revealed. He wants to be difficult but can’t find it in himself to be because, well... it’s Armin.
“I know,” he murmured, seafoam eyes sliding closed slowly and shoulders slumping slightly. “I know.” Really, he wants to get this over with. If each of them finds one, they can just... go. And maybe he can let the dragon go if they find somewhere new they want to stay.
Dropping himself ass first onto what looks like a log, he lets out a sound of disappointment and grabs hold of his hair. Except, moments later, he’s on his side on the ground and at least five trees are hitting the ground as something pins him down and looms over him. A scream tears from his throat as he tries to hold it away from himself. “A-Armin! What the hell--”
