Rant about Iron Fist latest story, ruining the lore established in Sword Master.
A while ago I showed my disappointment about Sword Master's story ending and his future as Iron Fist.
To explain why it bothered me so much, allow me to give an example of how it felt to read the story of Deadly Hands of K'un-Lun:
Imagine a new entry for The Legend of Zelda series.
In this tale Link, descendant of the hero of legends, obtains out of the blue the legendary Master Sword, which seems to have a personality of its own, like a spirit dwelling within.
He is then approached by a beautiful woman, possessing magical powers and capable of taking care of herself, princess Zelda, that explains to Link that he is the chosen one and with the Master Sword and the powers of the Seven Sages he is going to defeat Ganon, the Demon King.
Link goes on an adventure to find the sages and learn how to wield the MS, while accompanied by the princess and his best friend (who apparently will become one of the sages), while wondering where his missing uncle and sister are. Truly an epic tale.
Then, out of nowhere, Link loses his sword and falls into a river, lost to everyone.
Next time we see him, he is wearing green overalls and a cap with an L. Somehow, he ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom and has learned the secret technique of jumping into the head of his enemies.
Then Ganon obtains the Master Sword and uses it to obtain the Triforce, that for some reason was beneath Peach's Castle, not in Hyrule's. He also doesn't need the Sages nor any type of talisman or anything to unlock the Triforce.
Then Link, instead of gathering his allies, who are aware of what's happening and have the resources and powers to defeat the Demon King, gathers a couple of random heroes and confronts Ganon. Unfortunately he loses the first battle but fortunately he has a fire flower and defeats Ganon.
Then, again out of nowhere, King Dedede appears and takes the Master Sword, the Triforce and simply leaves. Ganon also escapes but now poses the power of fire flowers.
The end.
But what about the Sages? Didn't Link need it their power to defeat Ganon?
What about the Master Sword, Link's heritage? And the spirit within the sword? Are they lost forever?
And Link's uncle and sister? Where are they?
And is Link never going to use a sword ever again?
Also, one of the heroes (Aero but can't bother to find a simile) is suddenly changed into being part of a group that no one cares anymore (the inhumans) and basically ruins the character and her established lore.
And WHY was Dedede in the story at all??? It wasn't even explained what his deal was with Ganon??
And that's how it felt to read the latest story of Iron Fist.
Absurd, isn't it?
I'm very tired of feeling disappointed for comic books and the stupid reasoning done by the writers and the direction of the studio.

The final episode of The Amazing Digital Circus has finally arrived
And like that it's over. What an emotional rollercoaster.
I watched this when it was released in cinemas so I have some opinions to share but wanted to wait until the YouTube release
As a finale for the series it's very good. But as a "movie" to watch in cinemas not so much.
There's a reason why almost all movies always have the same format, no matter the plot, and it kinda shows in this, as this was not a movie but a web series.
I kinda expected some type of twist like Bubble returns as a villain or something, or Jax is saved from his abstraction. Basically cliches from movies.
But overall it was an incredible experience to have in a cinema.
Now, I only have one nitpick: we didn't get to see Jax abstract. I know we got a closer moment, back in episode 7, which would have been one hell of a scene in a movie theater. Because of that, Jax abstraction feels mute.
Overall, an amazing digital series.

Footnote: there was a scene I didn't understand at the moment in the theater that it took me time to understand.
The scene where Caine reaches a Wi-Fi connection but also to a folder with the names of the "scanned" is both something that happens in the present and in a flashback. It's going back and forth. It took me a while after exiting the cinemas to finally understand, especially with Scratch appearing, which doesn't mean he was restored. That's just how it happened the first time.
I first hated what they did to Lin Lie, robbing him of his title and his purpose as Sword Master, but because he became popular because of Marvel Rivals I didn't mind.
But what they did to the story built in the solo series of Sword Master until this story is simply C-R-I-M-I-N-A-L!!!!
We went from amazingly illustrated and meticulously crafted Chinese epic tale
to another cash grab with no soul.
To this amazing monstrosity... feared in all the realms
to this... measly wannabe warrior in the body of an upstart with delusions of grandeur, which are never explained.
Not to mention the literal character assassination and erasure of important characters for the story.
After all, they're were meant to be 3 Warriors wielding powerful weapons created to defeat Chiyou, known as the "Warriors of Three Sovereigns" in the original chinese release
First, Ji Shuangshuang, badass co-protagonist
She is the one who explains to Lin Lie about Chiyou and the Sword of Fu Xi and meant to become the wielder of the bands and accompany Lie into his quest.
And then, she is unceremoniously defeated, her weapon taken, not because it was needed to release Chiyou, because it's never brought again. She isn't even mention afterwards nor she get to participate in this arc on K'un-Lun
Then, Lin Lie's best friend, a street rat with a heart of gold and absolutely destined to become one of the Warriors, Ah Cheng
He was clearly meant to be the wielder of the whip and was meant to be important for the story but because the story never got to get there the next writer to take this story didn't even bother and simply erase him and the whip. THIS GETS ME ABSOLUTELY MAAAADDDD
Next is our "big bad", Lie's brother, Lin Feng, who honestly there isn't that much to talk
who we never get explained what happened to him when he disappeared, how he got involved with Chiyou and if he really was possessed or he actually was on the side of the Demon God of War.
And we can't forget about a pivotal character for the story, Lin's own missing father!!! What the s@#$%it happened to him??!!
And what the hell happened to the "Whip of Shen Nong" or "Bands of NΓΌ-wa"??? What happened to this KEY items for the story!!!!
I'm so mad about this story.
It's like if they made a The Legend of Zelda, where Link gets the Master Sword destroyed and later ends up in, I dunno, the Mushroom Kingdom and needs to learn how to jump over enemies as his new set of moves.
IS ABSURD!!!
MARVEL RIVALS, IF YOU READ THIS AND CONSIDERING WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED WITH LIN LIE, THE IRON FIST AND CHIYOU (because of the Shenloong Tournament) IS YOUR CHANCE TO AMEND THINGS
MAKE JI SHUANGSHUANG AND AH CHENG EITHER PLAYABLE CHARACTERS WIELDING THE BANDS OF NΓ-WA AND THE WHIP OF SHEN NONG OR AT LEAST MAKE THEM RELEVANT IN A FUTURE PLOT OR SOMETHING. PLEASE

Ok. Movie watched, so I'll do a little movie review. Free of spoilers:
This was... an experience.
It's clear that this wasn't your typical commercial long featured movie as it was more the finale of a web series, yet it had a lot of sentiments put in it.
But the question remains: should you go watch it in theaters or wait two weeks to see it for free on YouTube?
It depends.
Personally, I watched it in theaters on its release date simply because I couldn't wait two weeks. I'm that impatient. Plus I didn't want any spoilers.
Even so, for most people, I think it would be better to wait a little.
But, if you enjoyed the series until now, waited for each episode to release with great expectation and enjoyed either talk about, buy its merch and even create some content or art of the show, then definitely go watch it in theaters. Because I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
With that said, please enjoy the movie, don't spoil it and prepare yourself emotionally.
The moment I saw Vandal Savage with that dissected mammoth behind him I couldn't stop but think of Mammoth Mogul, considering how similar both characters origins and powers are.
Anyone familiar with the DC Comics could confirm if Vandal Savage, who assume is the one with Zavok, is usually seen with a dissected mammoth?
