She catches the phone easily, unsure of what exactly it is for, turning it over in her hand as she continues to watch the other and giving a nod. "Things have been increasingly weird. I've noticed my schedules have been off, I never really know what time it is anymore. I figured I've just been overthinking it." She admits, thumb sliding over the edge of the device in her hand.
Dark eyes stay planted firmly on the blonde, the tattoos alone would tell her if she's ever seen the other before. She knows she hasn't. At the question of if she was important she lifts a shoulder and drops it in a shrug. "Depends who you ask. Most my clients probably think so. I own the weed shop down town. High Hopes. Do side projects. I'm usually too busy working to really socialize."
The point of the phone is the bleating notification drawn up and splayed across the screen telling a whole city they need to head to the shelters allocated to their neighborhood, but Birdie doesn't bring much other attention to it; it's not exactly subtle, the way the city's gone batshit tonight. Today? What time even was it? This thought's echoed by Madison's lament.
"Ah yes the legal weedery,"
Then she snuffs out a laugh. "I wasn't asking for a job resume." The masks they wore for humans were just that - for humans. "I'm asking if I need to worry about more than just body snatchers if I'm cooped up in a room with you."
