Ariane is a young woman who escaped from her life in an oppressive nation to become a Pioneer Officer, exploring space to discover new worlds.

A sensitive and creative person, Ariane enjoys painting, reading, and watching movies. This island will be a chance for her to explore her interests more broadly, and without book bans!

She's an extremely curious person, and has spent much of her life lonely and isolated from her peers either physically or emotionally.

Being in Spirale will be reversing her dynamic in the main SIGNALIS story, in which she will be looking for her lover, Elster, insteasd of the other way around.

She is not consciously aware of her bioresonance abilities. Sorry about that.

Telepaths and other extrasensory types beware.

"I can be pretty clumsy." She admits, holding her hand out for the doctor to observe. A cut on her arm, with bruising already appearing. She was anxious, trying not to tug her arm away, or trying not to just get up and run away.

Swallowing, she looks for the nearest exit, just in case.

What she doesn't know, is what she had been projecting into the mind of the doctor, instead finding her hesitation to be...

"Is everything alright?"

This will likely be in progress as she gains more unlocks, but I wanted to start putting this together because I have some fun activities we can do with her abilities, teehee.

While she wants to use the island to explore freedoms she has never experienced, being from a highly oppressed world, her main goal on this island is one thing:

Finding her lover, Elster.

She's definitely someone who is pretty easy to get along with, although many find her white hair and red eyes unnerving. That and...

Well, it's highly likely you've seen her in your dreams.

Ariane Yeong has bioresonence, an ability even she doesn't quite understand or know how to use intentionally. It's like as not that if your character has any empathetic or telepathic abilities, they'll sense something odd and unnerving about her.

Right now, she can only project herself to a single person within a ward at a time. Liking this permanent plotters means you would be okay with random starters or asks that would be related to this!

And, of course, your character is more than allowed to react to this however they wish, even though Ariane won't really know what they're talking about.

I'll be reading/refreshing myself on rules pages before crafting the projected dream, but SIGNALIS has a lot of unreality, and as her powers grow, that unreality can seep into your muse's psyche. Be wary, and let me know if you have any specific concerns.

Her journal entry for the day was interrupted by a person who...Looked like a flower. Their hair was billowed up, in no way she had ever seen before. The corner of the page was dedicated to trying to figure out what kind of flower the lazing figure was meant to evoke.

Were they to wake, they would certainly find her staring intently, chewing on her pencil, and then going back to her doodle.

She's not sure Elster would love it, but...

She hums as she moves to the song playing in her mind, arms outstretched to accept the spectral embrace of a ghostly lover-

"Whoa-" she almost spills her beer on the guy who walked out from backstage. "Sorry, sorry," she felt like she was back in space, her legs feeling like jelly. Probably the adrenaline more than the beer.

"Oh, hey! You were, uhh, air guitaring backstage? Off to the side?" She tries to make the gesture, spilling some beer. "I saw it, sorry," she snorts, elbowing him.

Which was the point, but, ah...

"Miss?"

It's odd! It's strange, there was nothing like this on Rotfront. Not that she would've gone, but-

"Hello? Miss?"

Oh, she should be logging this, at least taking a picture of the-

"Miss, can you please ask your brother to leave?"

"Huh?" That seems to catch her attention. Brother? She looks over to where the waitress was pointing, to a white-haired man who seemed to be wandering the sweets displays.

"Uh? Hello?" She pokes at him. "'Bro'? It's time to leave? Apparently?"

She looks at the small robot, tilting her head from side to side. "Actually, it'd be great if you could check your own sensors, if you can, I'm looking for the Replika from my ship. She's an LSTR unit. LSTR-512." While she realized she had already started barrelling ahead, the very idea that maybe someone around here could help her find Elster was far too good an opportunity to pass up.

(It feels weird to refer to her like that, but I need to make sure I don't indicate what out relationship is like.)
