I actually never finished that one but I really liked the sketch!

The thing that helped me improve the most was doing figure studies!! I did an in person life drawing class a few years ago as part of my uni degree which was super helpful bc you can really pay attention to form and anatomy, how everything moves together and how different features vary between models. And I think having that as a solid baseline really helps figure out things like proportions and movement and posing and weight.

But if something like that isn't easily accessible (I myself have been struggling to find one that is nearby and not super expensive 😔) I highly recommend using the line of action website. It has a lot of reference images to use, and you can tweak the parameters for duration, or what kind of models you want to practice, or to focus on particular features (like hands and feet or faces). Its great practice plus a lot of fun bc you don't have to think too hard and at the same time you're building muscle memory of how those forms all work together to form a body ✨

I would also add to not worry too much about keeping everything 100% textbook accurate all the time. Bc the human body is weird and has lots of details, sometimes you just need a line or a shape to be a suggestion of what something looks or feels like and it works just fine!

17. what inspires you?

I think I get most inspired seeing other people do creative things, like it doesn't even have to be anything like what I create myself but it's really motivational and inspiring to see what people can create ✨

18. do you have any larger projects you'd like to pursue? like comics, shortfilm, a series etc?

I may have answered something like this before but I've always wanted to work in animation or film, so either something in that area or to make a comic would be fun!

9. what are you currently trying to improve?

mostly anatomy / poses, so I've been doing a lot more figure drawing and studies. but I'd also love to learn to use colour in different and more interesting ways since I feel like I tend to stick with the same sort of palettes a lot of the time

15. biggest artist pet peeve?

probably when I get all settled in to draw and then realise my apple pencil is completely out of charge 💀 and it always seems to be!!

this was one of the answers from the previous question too but I'd have to say the horse one!

purely based on the fact I worked on it over several months and I was really happy with how it turned out in the end

oh absolutely I cannot draw without some kind of background noise. I tend to jump around between favourites, but recently I've been really into either putting on a drawfee stream or quinton reviews's icarly / victorious series, and before that I binged like half of malcom in the middle working on levihan art

21. weirdest thing you've ever drawn?

oh I've got plenty of weird stuff hiding in the deep recesses of my old hard drives, but mostly just in the sense that I drew it when I was 12 and now I find it cringe 💀 the most fun one though is a ponysona of robin lord taylor (the actor) that I drew as a gift for a friend from DA who really liked him (and from memory I think they ended up getting a plushie made based on it?)

I wish I had actual examples but my browser likes to clear my history after a while and I've been BUSY 😭 based on the references I had to search for my last post they'd probably assume I'm having a kid or that I'm getting into gardening
