Because you can fish there and many people go there for sight seeing. Also the usually moderate temperatures.

Threats to the biome are invasive species and habitat modification. So other species come in and take over the area and humans make modifications to the habitat for more space.

Crabs, Clams, Eels and Beavers live in freshwater biomes. They have adapted to live in lower salt concentrated water.

Plants that can be found in freshwater Biomes are water lilies, algae, duck weed, and cattails. They grow on top of the water or along the shoreline.

Fresh water are located  all around the world,from Africa to the Midwest to Canada.
