Biolume!

This is part four of my Insane Ghost Project! I've been working on portrait pieces of each Papa that features them in their designated album cover, but in my own personal style!

I (hopefully) got these all to the band when I saw them at the Phoenix ritual! I gave out all of my stickers and everyone was wonderful :)

Some details about Copia's!

This frame was a monster and I enjoyed every second of it. At the top, it features both albums with a rat from Prequelle framed by the windows of Impera. I decided to split the frame down the middle for the albums, with two Copia heads; Cardinal on the left, Papa on the right! The frame would not be complete without rats, and I made them double headed because Copia is a twin!

Now for the ghouls. On both side I drew specific ghouls from both eras! For Prequelle on the left, their order (from top to bottom) go: Swiss, Dewdrop, Rain, Aether, Cirrus, Cumulus, and Mountain. For Impera on the right, the order is Swiss, Dewdrop, Rain, Phantom, Cirrus, Aurora, Cumulus and Mountain.

I also had to add Copia's Frater brooch and the RHRN Balloon!

Rather than drawing Copia as a machine/architecture I wanted him to seem more flesh and blood because his entire theme circulates around mortality! So I gilded him, with his "alive" side featuring more lively themes of leaves, and swirling patterns! The "dead" side features more architectural designs, and I was going for the idea of what we are in life vs what we can leave behind in death.

Yeah the gilding also references Cardi's mustache and his little rat nose, I miss it okay?

This was a lesson in patience, time management, perseverance, and learning how to render metal without going insane!

The wallpaper behind the frame features my own hands in a "as above, so below" pose, and a stained glass design!

This piece took roughly 219 hours!

Some details about Terzo's!

For the frame, I wanted to start to move in a more "modern" direction, and make it even more dynamic! It's based on the architecture of Meliora, with buildings and stained glass!

The frame features Terzo's 5 ghouls, (Omega is at the bottom, and has his rose pinned to his lapel), melted (and snuffed out) candles, as well as roses with three falling petals. At the top it features a reference to the album cover with papa's face shaped out of the buildings!

For the colors I was going back and forth between purple and gold, and decided to feature them both!

You however might notice the teal I snuck in, and it is in fact purposeful! I made the horizon teal to represent Copia on the horizon, while Terzo's purple fades out.

For this one, I'm not going to ask; I am going to beg. Please zoom in for details. I poured so much love into each and every building. At the bottom, the almost carpet-like trail that leads to the middle? It's a crowd of people.

Meliora's cover art and artist are both incredibly inspirational to me, and I implore you to go look at a high definition version of the art and really take your time looking at the detailing. Every inch of it has so much love within.

I learned so much from this piece, both in technical skill and personally. It reignited a passion for art, perseverance, ambition, and patience. I also learned how to draw smoke and I will use this skill for evil because it's so fun to draw.

Another skill I acquired was how to make things glow!
