Bina the Bear

FInally had the chance to finish this cutie. The pattern is from the wonderful LaLylala. The pattern is written carefully and everything came out pretty good (I think...). It's hard for me to rank things as beginner or not, but I would definitely say this one isn't for starters. Everything crochets up well, but joining all the pieces gets a bit tricky. Or at least, I could have easily found myself very frustrated if not having prior experience with seams and joining. Of course, this is just my opinion.

I do wish there was a bit more information or pictures on the placement of all the parts and eyes. I notice now that her Ravelry page on this pattern has quite a bit more photos on the matter. Oh well, lesson learned. But that's my only complaint.

I also pushed myself to actually knit up the little scarf for Bina. It had been a while since I knitted, but wanted to test myself and try it again. The pattern calls for a seed stitch, but as I was already growing a bit impatient, I stuck with a plain and simple knit stitch.

I promised myself after finishing the Bina the Bear pattern, I could go ahead and buy another one. I'm so excited!!! The hard part is choosing the next one!

I used Cascade Yarn Ultra Pima 100% Pima Cotton yarn. I only needed 1 skein for the main body color, so that worked out quite nicely. You can find this pattern on Ravely and at Lalylala's website:
