doctor who is my longest running special interest. it has been my special interest since i was nine, the master specifically has been my special interest for about eight years. i’m chained to that hell universe and always will be (even if complain about it a lot) (i also refer to gatwa’s doctor as 14 and tennant’s second stint as 13.5 because i have a lot of feelings about ‘who numbering so tagging will reflect that)

danmei novels (specifically tgcf and svsss) is one of my hyperfixations and has been for about two years (and svsss and tgcf and somewhat in the special interest area)

like i love billie piper, i think she’s an amazing actor. but it’s just she shouldn’t have been brought back to be the doctor.

i’m very much a fan of having a relatively unknown play the doctor. and for the doctor to be played by somebody who can bring a new spin on the role. i just don’t think billie can offer that and i see them trying to do a rose 2.0 and bad wolf persona. and we’ve seen that. it’s not new.

like dancing before/with the doctor? that’s been every master in new who.

revolving their plans around the doctor? that’s the master.

wanting to get the doctor’s attention at every possible moment? that’s the master.

weird foreplay about being the last of the timelords? that’s the doctor and the master.

the rani doesn’t care about the doctor, she wants to be left alone to do her experiments. she doesn’t do maniacal world ending plans, she just takes planets over so she can do science. she wouldn’t be messing around with magic and superstition and the supernatural. they’ve destroyed what made her The Rani.
