An unsettling glow falls across your face as his pink eyes rest on you and examine the small wound on your hand.

“Poor thing…” he says sweetly, but his pupils dilate and he squeezes your wrist tighter.

Grace, sweating and laughing sheepishly: "Well, I wouldn't go to space... Just like never, I would run."

Dubois smiles and stands with Yao, who nods seriously: "Nerds Gummy Clusters."

Grace, smiling nervously: "Why do I have to?"

Stratt: "My phone."

Grace: "Can I pick three? (He counts off) Coffee, donuts, and then, like, some choose-your-adventure novels so I can get a few multiple reads out of them. (He holds up his hands defensively) But I don't want to go. Just to be clear."

"Oh...! R-rally? That's... Um- okay..."

He crouches down until he’s at eye level with you, his velvet cloak hanging heavily over his shoulders, and offers you a shy smile. His blush is so intense you could swear his face is glowing.

When your lips brush against his cheek, Beta shivers with a slight chill. He feels cold to the touch, and something stirs inside him as if he suddenly wants to take you in his arms.

"That was lovely, Sweetheart," he says, gently cradling your face in both hands. "My turn?"
