MORROW’S EVE Come one, come all For a most musical evening of spectral fall Shall we commence a most wondrous mass To which we may raise a burgundy glass That we may dive into magical tales To which the wind may take our willing sails And I, Valère, the troubadour Here to serve my mighty court Shall provide an accompaniment To our beloved games and mighty sport I have danced in rivers and lakes of swan I have battled demons with strings and wood I have sung my praises and played my tunes I have graced the presence of where my forbearers stood I have drank rivers of red and most delightful terroir I have scratched an itch of glorious vanity I have healed my wounds of most burdensome headaches That I may have finally regained a wholesome sanity Through it all I have acquired from these dunes Two magical tools that I shall share with you A most delightful pair of wooden grace Of six and twelve shall fit right into place.
