Jim is the least proficient of the two at cooking, sticking to a few simple things like stew or omelettes or hamburgers or steaks and baked potatoes.  McCoy cooks traditional southern food and WOE BE UNTO ANYONE WHO PUTS SUGAR IN CORNBREAD because it is a BLASPHEMY.  Jim is capable of dirtying up every utensil in a large kitchen while boiling water; McCoy is more thrifty– but his meals are usually far more complex, so both of them tend to wind up leaving a hefty cleanup task to be dealt with.  McCoy refuses to clean up on his own, so they both help out with the work– but they’re usually somewhat lazy housekeepers and often wind up having to wash a sink full of dishes before they can start to cook their next meal.
