“Lets just say that my ambitions are much more realistic.”

“Hope so too. But if there was a ring, that begs the question of where did it go?” She replies with a snort before flopping back against the pillow again and letting out a soft groan. “I feel like hell.”

“The risk of students trying to replicate rituals that should not be done in modern times is an occupational hazard. I just trust they’re going to do the right thing.” Perhaps it was a naive hope, but Ra barely had the time or energy to concern himself further with his students. 

“…do you think it might actually be of any use?” 

“...okay just try not to show them anything that could potentially like, blow up the school or summon a hoard of demons or something like that, because eventually one of them will pull it off and then it becomes a problem for all of us.” And that was definitely not a mess that he wanted to deal with.

“You’re welcome.” She replies with the slightest of smiles. And if Kate weren’t a Hawkeye, maybe this would be weirder. Honestly? After being around Clint, nothing surprised her anymore. “Well hey, maybe you proposed.” Kate says with a chuckle. “I don’t really remember much of anything.”

“And that is why the devil is a damn fool who can’t have what he truly wants.”

Katherine Martinez. Eh. It wasn’t awful at least. Could have been much worse. “I think we should at least try. And no offense taken. I mean you’ve… very attractive but uh… usually like  to date a guy for a while before I think about… you know, marrying him.”

“Right…” He doesn’t know her real name. Question was, on whatever marriage shit she signed, did she use her real name or an alias? Should she give him her real name? Crap. “Kate. Uh…. Cisco, right?”

“I would never actually advise my students to kill anything. Though, I do believe it’s important to look at all aspects of the religion, even the gritty parts.” He himself had yet to go as far as making any sort of living sacrifice, but he’d delved into a number of other unsavory rituals. There was very little he wouldn’t do to gain just that much more experience. “Did there happen to be anything less disgusting mixed in there?” 

“Yeah… can’t say I have either.” She replies, glancing over to the male. “Kind of at least a little bit funny though, right? I mean what are the chances we’d both be in Vegas at the same time and then run into each other?”

“It would appear that way.” She flops back down against the mattress, heaving out a heavy sigh. new york new york population. “Guess it was nice to see you again.”
