Writing tip
M-most people don’t t-talk like th-this when they st-stutter from n-nerves.
It’s more…it’s more like going back and…and starting over. Maybe repeating some, some words.
Bonus tip: this is ESPECIALLY true in thoughts. Thoughts are a lot more fluid than speech because there’s no physical barrier to get past when they form into words.
I’ve never realized how true this is. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Uh, also, they might, like, use filler words, possibly. Or maybe, like, phrase things as questions instead of, um, sentences? I don’t know, I just, um, sorta know what it sounds like, kinda?
And maybe, um, maybe try to include some… Sorry, um. Maybe, maybe just try to include some apologies–sorry, does that make sense? And maybe they’re rushing and a little disjointed and kind of off topic at times and, and, they lose track of what they mean. And maybe theyre um,… and a sense of, reluctance? sorry i just, sometimes, sometimes i just, when you’re nervous you’re not necessarily, um, perfectly grammar- perfectly grammatical? does that make sense, sorry, i don’t know how to say this right.
This makes me uncomfortable with its accuracy
Also…. they stutter with the sounds, not just with individual letters?? For example they would go “t-t-thanks”
it would be “th-thanks” I’ve seen so many people do it and it’s killing me, THEY STUTTER WITH SOUNDS NOT JUST LETTERS
I mean, my thinking isn’t fluid, but yeah, this is true
