Harvey's light touring bike by Brian Chapman Via Flickr: This bike has a good mix of old and new on it. The Brooks B17 is from the 60s when Harvey bought it new. The bike was sort of built around that. The bike and racks were nickel plated and the older parts (cranks, post, derailleur, etc.) were polished up before assembly. Standard sized tubing, 650x42 wheels, a wide range double, and a friction 8-speed drivetrain. There are also provisions for a rear rack if he wanted to go that route in the future hence the double eyelets on the rear SunTour dropouts.
