yeah, i also would have just said he’s outright gay. if it’s not said anywhere in canon then you really can’t say whether or not someone is gay or not. i hate the ‘coded’ term bc it’s just . . . you don’t KNOW what the creator’s direction for that character was. you could be completely wrong

Like, *come on*, I don't think Ouma says "Beloved Shuichi" at any point before that (I could be completely wrong and forgetful, honestly and I don't hate sai//ouma) but the fact that he took RANTAROU'S wax figure gets me! If it was just because he wanted to keep one of them at all he could have taken Ryoma (why? idk but it'd be easier for him to carry) but he didn't. They have a good dynamic. Enough said.
idk how u can complain about people "shoving headcanons down ur throat" when u have a blog to do that 2 others... i mean kokichi shows interest and men and none in women and that to me is a good reason to say a character is gay?? wether or not hes bi doesnt matter because hes definitely gay coded. plus, theres PLENTY of bi characters in dr (mikan, kaede, shuichi, so on so on) so why does kokichi NEED to be bi? theres other characters that are confirmed bi.

first of all, i got into dangan around 2014 ish, so i was there the MOMENT v3 started releasing new information. i’ve been shipping ou//mami since the beginning and i have not stopped. it holds such a special place in my heart that i really cannot see it go anywhere
ok now onto actual. screaming
they’re both such a chaotic duo it’s not even funny. but what can i say? air signs are chaotic lmao i should know. both have (arguably) the scariest / darkest sprites in game, they can be summed up by their classmates as enigmas / mysteries, and they just . . . kinda fit together tbh? amami seems patient, he did help raise 12 younger sisters he kinda has to be, enough to deal with ouma’s shenanigans. he’s one of the few people that could probably see through his lies and see ouma for who he really is
NOT TO MENTION THE ‘ BELOVED RANTAROU ’ LINE OUMA SAYS!!!! also the wax figure he had up in his room?!?!?! my boy what the fuck were you doing with that. ALSO ALSO the official art!!!!!!!! where they’re together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the only real downfall they both have is that they probably don’t share their feelings as often as they should. they both tend to bottle up their true feelings in favor of hiding behind a mask (or several). but honestly? honestly???? that downfall isn’t even as bad as some of the ouma ships ppl have during the killing game
i feel like ouma likes to play mind games with others, but for amami, they’re always trying to one-up each other, in a completely harmless way. it’s to themselves, and the others don’t understand it, but at least it keeps ouma out of trouble for a while. amami knows when to scold ouma and put him in line, so it’s not at the expense of other people

As someone who ships Kokichi with Rantarou mostly, Oumami for life, I can see Kokichi being bi/pan. It’s a headcanon and it doesn’t hurt anyone. People are just mad about it.
oh man, i LOVE ou//mami so much . . . and honestly, amami is really the only one i see being in a relationship with ouma, at least as far as v3 goes. i could go on for hours about ou//mami if you let me. even though this isn’t an amami blog, i could go on about him for hours too lol ^^;;
anyway, yeah! it’s only a headcanon. i think most people have simmered down for now, but i wish those who haven’t would come to realize it’s not really hurting anybody. i’m all for lgbtq+ representation, but not when it feels forced or is shoved down my throat. in the end, people just really need to realize that dangan//ronpa is just a game and my harmless headcanons cannot hurt you. it’s not a hate crime for me to hc someone as bi bc i want to connect with one of my favorite characters!
