mod lotus and i are so excited to be going into 2024 with you all! we’re so thankful to have all of you and your wonderful muses here in the directory. in an attempt to ease back into interactions on the dash, we’ve decided to start up an honesty hour game! this will end with our crocus event at the end of the month (january 31st), so send as many questions to your fellow muses as your heart desires. just keep any potential triggers in mind when doing so.

for juyeon 🍒 - your muse invites juy out for ice skating be it as a date or platonically. (funnier take if he's being used as a 'date' because your muse's crush or ex is there) 🍉 - your muse is participating the crocus baking contest and makes juy their lab rat (bonus if your muse completely cannot bakes) 🍎 - being the son of mugunghwa, he will be attending the gala. your muse either wants him to be their partner for the night / dancing partner before the auction begins 🍓 - alternatively, juyeon will be performing at the mugunghwa gala, but what happens if he and your muse so happened to sight a mistletoe 🍅 - thread where they could meet at the tea house, ordering the most amount of orders of gingerbread and eggnogs (alternatively, also buying this for the children of beonhwa and being their version of santa's lil helper) 🌶️ - your muse is supposed to get into the sleigh ride that is meant for couples but got stood up. instead, invites juy!

for siwoo 🥯 - siwoo is being dragged out by plenty of eligible woman at the mugunghwa gala to the mistletoe lane, your muse tries to help him get away from mothers and daughters of other houses. (perhaps even ending up at the mistletoe with siwoo themselves eventually) 🥐 - a friend acquainted with the house of gladiolus bought the couple private sleigh with no intentions of using if. handing the privilege to siwoo, he invites your muse out so it doesn't go to waste. 🥨 - being a regular at the sweetbrier tea house, he's being served a lot of servings of crocus holiday treats. not wanting it to go to waste and not being a sweet tooth himself, he invites your muse to sit with him to finish the treat. 🥖 - there's been a mix up and somehow siwoo finds himself involuntarily joining the baking contest. since he isn't a quitter per say, he ends up learning baking and practices with your muse who he enlist to taste his goods for feedback

( ... ) siwoo unfortunately finds himself stepping into the situation when the argument had turned sour as the man with the knife had in turn act aggressively. "how about we calm down and drop the knife?" he finds himself stepping in; standing in front of the taller man so that the knife point at siwoo instead.

although yeonsu was still new to knight training, he had certainly exceeded the expectations that had seemed to be held for him. years of farm work seemed to have prepared him better for all areas of strength and stamina that was needed for the most basic knightly duties. his natural aptitude of understanding strategy and tactic paired well with his physical abilities and within three months, yeonsu was already being given certain tasks that wouldn’t typically be expected of a knight that early into training.

excelling in his duties as a knight was only a small step towards his responsibilities as the heir apparent however. if anything, it simply proved to those all around him - those watching him - that yeonsu was certainly much more capable than anyone had expected following his return. above all else, it meant that there was more potential, and they would be waiting for yeonsu to push past those limits to show just how capable he was. 

the situation is almost comical but at most, one that siwoo is familiar with. he's been in situations like this before; be it a first hand experience or one that is done in disguise. in most situation however, he does make it out alive but there has been situations where he finds himself with open wounds in need of tending and bandages. tonight however, the raven haired man had hoped he had managed to get away unscathed.

"it does seemed like he's rather delirious. might not even listen to us." siwoo response, eyes still in full focus of the armed man before him. his head starts thinking of possibilities he could disarmed the man; for one, he could end up being reckless by lunging forth and grabbing his arm before knocking the knife off his head but if the man decides to swing forth, he might even be stabbed. but there may be a better chance siwoo could try toppling the latter when he isn't as built in shape. the other strategy he could think of is to persuade the man to drop his weapon and allow him the chance of going home to where his family is, least that would allow him a sort of redemption.

his thoughts however cuts short when the man starts swinging the weapon, screaming 'get off of me' and 'get lost' in the midst of his impulsive action. it causes siwoo to step back just a bit, to avoid the sharp blade of the silver tool in causing him harm. a third plan devise in his head, one that siwoo would wish to not proceed with since it would involve shooting the man's leg in his least vial spot; one where the man wouldn't die but that would mean he would expose himself of using a weapon even if it may be a form of self defense.

her expression was one of disinterest as she gazed upwards though that quickly changed as she locked eyes with the man. shooting up from her seat behind the counter she tried to put on her most charming smile while doing her best to readjust her robes. she needed to make a good impression after all. very few eligible men had the status and wealth of jeong siwoo and though she hadn't gone out of her way to make herself known to the man, now that she had the chance she certainly wouldn't waste it.

"ah, certainly. i have just what you need. but first, may i ask if you if whomever is going to be using this balm will being doing work after putting it on? this will determine which balm i recommend," as she gave her sales pitch, she came from around the corner, slender fingers pushing ba!1gfck her bangs as she looked at him from beneath her lashes. "something stronger will be able to stand up to sweat and water, things of that nature. it'll be a bit more expensive but i can assure you it's worth it. it's a family recipe passed down 300 years."

there was nothing like the sweet aroma of tea in the air. sometimes she simply sat down to enjoy the floral scents infused into the beverage as her fingers wrapped around the warm body of her tea cup. if she had to put a name to this feeling, serenity was the only word that came to mind.

and of course, the energetic atmosphere of the sweetbrier tea house certainly helped boost her mood without fail.

it was difficult not to smile into her cup at the vibrant whispers and giggles that surrounded her table. on most days the youngest mugunghwa daughter stayed active in the social scene amongst 'friends'. she used the term loosely as those who occupied a seat at her tables were everchanging, no one person could ever manage to snag a seat twice in one season. and while a spot at her side was highly desirable, there were days when dasom chose to sit alone, quietly listening in on the gossip nearby rather than partaking in the chatter directly.

"we all need a break at some point." she hummed gently, taking a sip of her tea before nearly spitting it out almost immediately. jeong siwoo, a sight for sore eyes! though he was known to frequent the tea house, dasom had only barely caught glimpses of the famed hotel owner, being too busy with her own company to slip away. "it's my lucky day!" he'd long since rejected her— and of course she'd already moved on from the heartache— but that never stopped her from wanting to enjoy the company of a handsome lad!

except when he does get there, the tea house itself is filled with customers in its usual accommodating services. there are barely any seats left and a long queue at that which almost made siwoo go home in all disappointment and tiredness until he hears a familiar voice calling his name out. his eyes lands on the youngest child of mugunghwa.

there's a slight pinch in his decision. one part of him knows the younger woman had once harbored a small and harmless infatuation on him once upon a time, and one he had not comment but had indirectly put her feelings down. another part of him knows that even if she had still harbored feelings for him; he is a whole bachelor and dasom is betrothed to the son of magnolia. all that aside though, siwoo really wants tea.

You know how bubbles start coming up when you drop a tablet in water? I feel a lot calmer when I'm listening to that sound.
