I recently binge watched βBarryβ and Iβm obsessed. Love the story and characters (with a special place in my heart for Noho Hank β₯οΈ) and Iβm very excited for season 3!
Like everyone with eyes, I view Hank as comfortably gay (using this as an umbrella term) and like to imagine his people being supportive at best, indifferent at worst. But itβs important to remember how bad the situation for LGBT community in Chechnya is. I tried to find some charities or petitions to attach in this post but couldnβt see anything current, most βnewsβ are dated 2019. Which doesnβt mean the situation improved, just that the access to information is difficult. If anyone know something more about the matter or know of an organization that can help, please, share it.
