“Oh, thanks! I can’t eat much pizza, it’s my special occasions food.”

“I think moving is a special occasion, don’t you?”

“Spendin’ almost a week in the hospital for somethin’ that could have been prevented was fuckin’ delightful,” Niall grumbled, letting out a pain stricken whine. His leg was in a cast and elevated on the bed as his eyes bore into the person in front of him. “What did ya come here for?” he whispered.

Bethany walked up to Niall’s bed with a warm, sympathetic smile. “But, you know you were being a great friend in the end.” she commented, trying to make him feel better. “I brought you cookies though.” she smiled, setting them down on the table next to him. “Unfortunately, there’s no weed in them.” she frowned.

“Hey! You wouldn’t know where the nearest supermarket is? I’m seriously craving something that isn’t airplane food! ”

“Hm...well I think there’s one a few blocks from here, but I’ve been mainly eating pizza.” she shrugged, shamelessly. 

“Hey whore!” Demi laughed, pulling Beth in for a hug. “I’m ready, but are you ready? We’ve got places to go and people to see and only the entire day to do it. Or, well, technically, until places close. But we’ve got time, and I’m rambling, therefore wasting precious time, so we need to get moving,” She said, finally cutting herself off. Demi pulled out of the hug, only to grab the other girl’s hand in her own so she could lead her away. “Our first actual stop is to get you a metro card, unless you’ve already got one. I’m planning on us taking the underground and we both need a card for that.” Demi always carried her tube map with her when leaving the apartment, although she didn’t need it all that often. Today, however, it would come in handy with planning their day out.

Bethany chuckled at her greeting, giving the girl a warm hug. “Oh, I’m ready.” she repeated, eagerly. “Hey, I’ve never let closings stop me. We can still have fun no matter what. Especially since we’re together.” Beth chuckled as the girl spoke. The brunette let her guide her out of her flat. Beth shook her head and said, “Nope, I don’t have one. I really haven’t been anywhere that is far enough to take the tube.” Beth felt funny called the subway the ‘tube’, but she was in London so she figured she might as well embrace it. “Sounds fun though.” she began.” Vamos! Let’s go!” she exclaimed. 

“Haven’t I made that clear in the past?” he teased. 

“Yes, you made the quite obvious.”

“I’m assuming Spanish was your first language then. I mean your accent gives it away, so that was probably a really stupid thing to say. I’m sorry. I’ll certainly just take your word for it.”

“Oh, yeah. Well, sort of. It’s not a dumb question, it makes perfect sense.” she started. “I was born in Arizona with in a town with a heavy population of Mexicans, that’s where the accent comes from. My parents taught me both Spanish and English as a child. In school, I mostly spoke English. In my community, it was mostly Spanish.”

His bottom lip was sucked underneath his top set of teeth as he watched her pose. This was all he needed to hurry up the process. Once the were beside her bed, he laid her down before pulling back to rid himself of his Tshirt.
