The idea of a 3 year old yelling “Dick” has been making me laugh for 5 mins.

Omg Jason is gonna be to call Bruce daddy. He’ll probs be the first person to ever call him that!!!!!

We saw that when Jason first became a kid again, he LOVED going swimming, so I think it would be so cute to see toddler Jason being even more enthusiastic! But this time he has to wear the little arm floaties and he just kind of flails around and someone has to be right next to him the entire time. And of course he gets super tuckered out so it’s time for cuddles and naps.

besides bruce, will toddler jason have a family member that he gravitates towards more? and on that note are there any family members that you think would have a hard time with a toddler jason?

One thing about tiny kids I feel like is the way they’re obsessed with “cute things”. Kids tend to have cuteness aggression for animals and stuff. My cousin who’s a toddler always gos “Oh so cute! It’s so cute!” Jason has never been the kinda of person to express when he thinks something is cute if that makes sense so I think it would be fun if toddler jason gets a stuffed animal or gets to be around a real animal that is “so cute” and he would tell the people around him!

It’ll be interesting to see the twists Jason and Bruce’s dynamic will take in his new toddler state, because being so small, he’s going to be more dependent on his dad and the rest of his family than ever before, but at the same time, how much is he going to continue to try to be as independent as possible, both to his detriment and his father’s mental state? 😅 You know, things like trying to climb up the steps on his own, trying to handle equipment that was probably pushing too much at 6, and is definitely way out of his abilities now, stuff like that.

with his prefrontal cortex so bitty, i wonder if Other Aspects will come to the forefront - instincts and intuition in place of reasoning and analysis. this is, technically, a jason who’s soul was considered worthy of the all-blades — i wonder if the forceful youth-beam will have him messily-and-unconsciously tapping into all caste-insight in that organic, instinctive way toddlers navigate the world. nothing impossible to explain away - he’s too little to do anything requiring practiced skill - but maybe he’ll occasionally say or do something that’ll have the rest of the family Wondering. maybe he and titus have a nonverbal soul-deep conversation where they both agree that dami is The Fucking Awesomest.

i’m so excited for itty baby jayby, especially since he’s getting shrinkrayed into a body that’s going to be experiencing sensory stimuli at 8000% intensity. toddler bodybrains are so NEW, are still in that stage of aggressive synaptic-pruning where the brain and body are actively trying to figure out what inputs are ignorable and what inputs are attention-worthy. itchy clothes-tags will be world-ending, and a hug from bruce will be all that’s needed to fix the universe. getting spun in a circle will be the sensory equivalent of an exciting roller coaster ride, and the menacing depths of a bathtub drain will smack of demonic unknowns in the mind of a bitty jaybean. and his IMAGINATION … young brains are still so new that a lot of Unknowns about the world are addressed, filled, or explained away by creative reasoning. he’s going to be running on a level of instinct usually associated with puppies and kittens. the wind will make the curtains move and his brain will go “absoLUTELY not” and glue his feeties to the floor. hyperempathy and underdeveloped boundaries between self and world will have him feeding crumbs to ants because “they might be hungry” and “i don’t like being hungry” and “if they’re sad then i’m sad and then we’re all sad and that’s TERRIBLE”. (sorry, this turned into me rambling about how i imagine baby jayby’s brain works 😭) (i think he’d have that egocentrism where if he’s upset, he assumes everybody else is upset, and - vice versa - if he’s sees somebody ELSE upset, he immediately tries to comfort them, because their upset is HIS upset - his boundaries between self and the world are still too undercooked for him to separate himself from the world around him, so any pain he witnesses in the world around him is automatically personal) (something something “bruce gets some insight into why the original jaybin Was Like That”)

would you ever consider giving jason braces in the soft series? I imagine that by the time bruce found him he had much more things to worry about than crooked teeth like getting his weight up and focusing on his well being. This time around bruce will be able to take him to regular dentist appointments and stuff. I also think it would be an interesting way to explore age appropriate insecurities with his pears rather than his insecurities with his family and his age stuff.

I think it would be really cute if maybe there is a part where jason just gets to really enjoy something as a toddler (Like an activity, Arts and Crafts, etc). Things are so fascinating and fun to little kids and part of me also just wants to see a baby jason happy. and also jason’s family getting to see him excited. Toddlers also have an aspect of suspension of disbelief. Would you factor that in?

when jason first got deaged, his body was a perfect copy of what it had been during his original childhood, up to and including the scars he’d had back then, as well as a lot of the ingrained bodily instincts he’d developed in response to his original home life. he’s since been able to grow into a body that’s healthier and happier than what he’d originally had, to the extent that he’s now able to have and enjoy experiences that his original child!self would’ve been too stressed, too wound up, too anxious, or otherwise too “unsafe” to enjoy. his body has learned that it can relax around bruce, that it is safe and secure and okay, and this in turn has given him the space to finally be a kid in a way he’d never had prior. his 26yo body retained some of that somatic memory when it got aged up - his original adult body had trauma-informed fight-or-flight behavioral patterns that smacked of Unaddressed Issues - but now that things are getting reversed … will jason, now shrunk into an even younger body, experience a brief backslide in health, trust, and instinct? will bruce be a source of safety, or will jason briefly face the hurdle of being back in a body that immediately scans Tall Big Adults as threatening?

AHH toddler jason im so excited. Are you planning on making him more clingy to people and less insecure or is he going to be like tim where he was trying to act older??

Hi! I’m the Fourth of July anon. I meant like Jason doing the fourth @ 6 and at like 8. I think the traditions are very similar to Canada

I was thinking about middle school jason and things like embarrassing first gfs/bfs but then I realized technically it wouldn’t be the first. How would you go about handling things like first kisses and crushes when he has experienced them before?

Because of all the age change stuff I went back and re read the fic where tim gets turned into a toddler (one of my favorites). For that was it always going to be tim getting turned into a little kid? Do you have any ideas of what it would be like if any of the other siblings were in that situation?

So I know you’re Canadian but Jason isn’t! Could we get a similar story to that trick or treat one but it’s July 4th instead?
