Lucille Leonhart: Backstory
Helena Beaumont, the sole heiress to the Beaumont Estate, and Lorentin Castriel Leonhart, a man from another wealthy family, were brought together...through an arranged marriage. They didn't have romantic feelings for each other but because of their "duty" to keep the image of their family names, they accepted the marriage.
Lorentin had...other women and even a child from it, even before Lucille was born. It irked Helena to no end but Lorentin still does as he pleases.
Their first and only child was then born, Lucille Leonhart. With her father's magnificent blue and black hair, and her mother's emerald eyes, many have stated that she was a sight to see.
Lucille grew up in a strict household. Her mother is a known woman in their neighborhood and has quite the reputation. Perfection is a must.
Parties and other events are quite frequent in her mother's schedule, which she also attends as her daughter. Everyone watched her every movement and she dare not make a mistake as she didn't like facing her mother's anger...not after all the hitting she got. If in public, Helena tugs on her hair, like a warning and once they are home, Helena's hands will reach for anything to hit her with.
"You dare do that in front of everyone!? How embarassing! Are you fighting back, Lucille?! You don't know anything, so, I'm going to discipline you until you've learned your lesson!"
Afraid of what else her mother could do, she turned herself to a beautiful, perfect doll.
The only time Lucille ever gets a breathe is when her father is home. He brings her to several places and visits her two half siblings, with different mothers, often. But when Helena found out, her strictness went off the roof.
With this, Lucille then believed that everything her mother said was true and right. She started to follow Helena's orders without a complain and holds her values above anything.
The carriage from Night Raven arrived, they sent her off with strict reminders and a silver ring.
Upon arriving, she was sorted in the dorm for the Queen of Hearts, Heartslabyul. During her first year, people would describe her as someone who's aloof, often by herself, uptight and strict. Some would say she's boring and even overbearing.
"She expects too much. Her expectations are high up in the sky and are impossible to meet!"
"It's like having a second dorm leader!"
There was no one that she could call a friend. Then her path crossed with Leona Kingscholar's...through a cake thrown at the latter's face. She found herself walking through the schoolgrounds, and the next thing she knew, she's bickering with Leona.
It was through him, that she found her desire for freedom again. Realizing that all the years she spent being 'perfect', is not what she wanted, thus, the change of heart and personality in her second year.
