You're new to me
I have this thing, this thing where everything new is exciting to me. This time, it's you. You are exciting to me. You are like the first letter in my postal box in the year 1854. It's this really long letter telling me what you've been doing, what do wish you would be doing, what your life goals and ambitions are. You've written nothing scandulous yet I blush and smile as I brush my fingers against your words written in a formal handwriting on this very plain paper, "I will be waiting for your letter". I can't wait for you to read my letter. I want it to be a perfect letter, the one which would be worth the wait for you. The one that will keep you wanting for more.
I know there's a good deal of people who find new things exciting, it's no out of world phenomenon. But there is this thing with me...I find only new things exciting. It's your 27th letter to me. You've written that you love everything that I write, it's the highlight of your day. You tell me that I am the reason life's bright and easier to live. You tell me that you love me. You tell me that I excite you. But here's the thing, you're old to me now. You're no longer my love letter, you're the letter to the municipal corporation that I am supposed to write for my school assignment. You're my plea to clean out the drain for it's getting harder to live like this. You're growing on me, but not in the way wine or sushi does. You're growing, reaching out for my throat and choking me. You're not just monotonous, you're suffocating. You the opposite of excitement to me. Can I please throw out your stack of letters with no confrontation? I am done with you.
