my cat is completely obsessed with watching the bathroom sink drain and I have started calling this "her shows." as in when I'm in the bathroom and she meows and runs up I'll be like "oh you want to watch your shows?" and run the faucet for an extra few seconds so it fills a little. she will then sit there at the edge of the sink for ages totally entraptured by the drain. blorbo from her sink

And the cat cried out in despair, because there was no cat food. And the human heard the cat's cries and, after having ignored such forlorn screams, finally relented and supplied cat food. And the cat's heart sang and the cat prepared to rejoice only to have to wail again, as the foolish human, the human who cared not for the hardships kitty cats must endure, had selected the wrong flavor of cat food. No matter how plaintively the cat sobbed, the human refused to replace the hateful chicken with tuna. And so the cat's time of tribulation continued.

My cats will pester me for food and water and such at need, but I think the most common subject of pestering has to be “no, see, you’re in that room, but we want to sit in this room, so you have to come here and sit with us”.
