BEQUIN

When a lord begins to count you, Dunk feels like a ‘Lunk;’ all over again, just like Ser Arlan told him. He would never sabotage the man; he is far too honourable for that. But he continues to be your shadow, looming over you both, it most definitely makes the Lord feel small.

When you’re at the markets or a feast, if a man is ever too forward, Dunk doesn’t say anything. But he steps into the space between you both, blocking you from the man’s sight, under the guise he’s just ‘looking for Egg.’

When he heard the man had asked your father for your hand, Dunk spent the night brooding by his campfire, staring at the stars. He managed to convince himself that you were better off without him, Ser Arlan’s phrase ‘Dunk the Lunk, as thick as a castle wall’ swam around in his head, he felt stupid for thinking he would ever give you the life a real knight could. He becomes a ghost, cant eat or sleep, even his horses feel bad for him, but he thinks he’s doing you a favour and protecting you by staying silent.

Lyonel Baratheon

Lyonel is immediately attracted to your spirit. He is a loud man and comments room, but that is because of his status as Lord Paramount. Everyone around him laughs along with him, you laugh at him, and that makes you different. Instead of chastising you for laughing at your Lord, he decides you’re the one for him.

He wears your favour in every tourney, even if you haven’t given it formally, he would just ‘borrow’ a ribbon from your dresser.

Lyonel doesn’t allow other men to even finish their sentence if they are attempting to flirt. Lyonel will swoop in, throwing a muscular arm around the offender’s neck, squeezing so hard he almost chokes him, and immediately start yapping about anything and everything, laughing as he does, anything to drown the man out.

If a suitor gives you a gift, like a bouquet of flowers, Lyonel will show up an hour later with an entire tree or bush. He must win the game of giving prizes, he’ll always win.

If Lyonel catches wind your father is considering betrothing you to someone else, he won’t hesitate, he would be sad or feel bad for himself. He would be enraged. He would immediately challenge whoever it was to a duel for your hand. Your hand is a prize he would refuse to lose.

Once he makes his intentions clear, your father would not refuse, in his mind who is a better match for his daughter than the Lord Paramount of the Stormlands.

Baelor Targaryen

For Baelor, love is about the mind. He begins to fall for you when he realises you can understand the mastery of his political manoeuvres. He also falls for your heart, which he knows is as big as his, if not bigger.

He invites you to consult on matters of the realm, even though you probably should be involved on account of not being on the council and not being a man. But it’s his way of telling you he trusts you, above everyone else.

As a Lady of the court, you have no shortage of men trying to court you. Whenever Baelor catches win of a young Lord courting you, he suddenly takes a deep interest in his career. He asks the man complex questions about taxes of history in front of you; he always fumbles while Baelor stays composed. You take great amusement in how amusing Baelor finds making your suitors feel small.

He has the power of the Iron Throne behind him. Whenever another man gets just a bit too close, Baelor suddenly needs someone to bargain a better trade agreement with Lys! Good thing he knows just the man for the job.

While your suitor is away, your father intends of betrothing you on his return. Baelor speaks to him, as a Prince. He does not forbid the match, but he will suggest that he “had hoped for a more prestigious match for your daughter. Someone more central to the crowns interest.” Little does your father know that he is the interest.

Maekar Targaryen

Maekar falls for resilience and intelligence. A woman who doesn’t flinch at his persona, instead sees his gruff exterior for what it is, insecurity, and you listen, truly listen to him.

He is a protective man, he would scold you for not wearing a cloak in the rain because he’s terrified, you’d get sick, once again his persona covering up his sweetness.

He’s a man of action. He silently buys things you need which he considers silly, like a new hairbrush or gown, assigning you a personal guard, before you go riding he ensures your horse is properly saddled, he would never confess that he loves you, buy he says things like “Don’t be a fool, stay close to me’, and honestly that’s basically a declaration of love.

If a knight attempts to court you, Maekar will ‘just happen’ to be in the training yard at the same time as him. He starts haunting him, challenging him to spar every day. And every day Maekar beats him so efficiently the man can only limp away. He knows you watch.

He often doesn’t use words, just his death stare is enough to ward off any men from you. One time a suitor did lay his hands on you, he was swiftly interrupted by an angry Maekar stating “I’ve killed better men for far less.”

If a knight is ever foolish enough to ask for your hand, Maekar will march himself straight to your father. He lists every man who has ever shown an interest in you and list why they’re unworthy, saying “you will not give her to a dog like that,” suggesting someone more suitable (himself) instead. And of course, your father is happy to oblige.

Aerion Targaryen

When Aerion’s falls for you, he feels a dark magnetic pull towards you. He falls because you’re the only think prettier than he is. He becomes obsessed with you being the Queen to his King.

Without asking he claims you, he tells people you’re under his protection, in a way that is almost a threat.

He loves to shower you in gifts; you are his queen after all.  They’re often expensive and exotic gifts, flowers from Essos, expensive quills made from rare birds, books once thought lost.

Aerion will most definitely make a scene when he catches wind another man is trying to court you. He’ll mock the suitor’s horse, armours, family name in front of the entire court. He wants the man to feel so small he never dares to look at you.

Aerion is a weirdo, he would stalk your suitor around the Keep, whenever he bumped into him, he would stroke up a conversation, being sure to insult him, “she’s for a dragon, not a worm like you.”

He would also not be above violence, challenging a suitor to a duel to the first blood, he would take it too far (of course) tyring to take an ear or a finger.

When you tell him your father plans to wed you, yeah that’s not happening. He finds your father, approaching like a subject, remining him that any other match but him would be offending a Prince of the blood, which is a dangerous game for any to play. Of course, your father accepts, there’s no better match than a prince.

Daeron Targaryen

Daeron finds you to be a ‘sobering’ presence in his life. Not because you ask him to stop drinking, but because he finds himself actually wanting to the remember the time he spends with you.

He stops being self-deprecating just to listen to you, hanging on your every word. He quickly falls for you, but from a distance, making sweet gestures like writing you poetry, leaving it where you would find it, it made your heart flutter.

Daeron is the master of the backhanded compliment, he would tell your suitor things like “What a lovely doublet, I’m sure my father’s jester has one just like it.”, he’s not above insulting him to you, silly things about how you would “pity the woman who births his children if they possessed his head”.

He also finds himself particularly clumsy around your suitor, spilling wine down him before he attempts to ask you to dance.

He’s also not above using his gifts to his advantage. When your suitor asks your father for your hand, he would lie, “I had a dream about that man, I saw him… a swarm of locusts… a very bad omen for a marriage, I’m sure. Just in case you wanted to know’, your father would swiftly reconsider.

Valarr Targaryen

Valarr falls for you because you make him human. Not the heir to the Iron Throne, just Valarr.

He is a gentleman through and through. He holds your hand foe a second too long when helping you step down from your carriage. He arranges musicians to play for the smallfolk, conveniently under your bedroom window.

Valarr is sickeningly sweet, so polite often your suitor begins to feel small in comparison to Valarr’s moral high ground.

Valarr is too perfect to be mean. Instead, he enjoys a more subtle approach. One time he walked up and offered you his hand, stating “thank you for keeping her company, Ser. I shall take it from here.”, you find it among, Valarr is so polite how can someone even argue with that.

He’s very tactile when your suitor is nearby, he makes his presence near you known. He would tuck stray hairs behind your ear or keeping his hand on the small of your back, you think its very sweet but really, he’s making it known he wants you, and your suitor should back off.

When he hears rumours of your father’s intended betrothal, Valarr makes sure to make comments in passing about the unfortunate rumours surrounding your intended. Some debts to the Iron Bank of Braavos or some secret bastards. When he delivers the news he keeps a concerned expression, telling your father of his sincere concern for you hoping he can find you a better more suitable match.

Raymun Fossoway

Raymun falls for you, slow and sweet. You are the first person to see him as he truly is, as a Green Apple Fossoway and didn’t think he was weak, you think he’s strong and think his divergence shows growth.

He is your most devoted servant; he’ll help you with menial tasks or spend hours listening to you talk about your problems. He always tries to prove himself to you as a true knight, often stumbling, promoting you giggling and him getting flustered, especially if you give him praise.

His attempts to be a true knight double when he’s jealous, he tries 10 times harder. He’ll do everything for you, stand guard for 12 hours a day, sharpen your brothers’ swords, he hopes his usefulness will outweigh the gold or lands of any other suitors.

If a handsome knight talks to you, Raymun looses his ability to speak. He just stands there, willing his body to move, to say something. But he just goes as red as an apple, glaring but unable to fins the words to tell him to beat it.
