i can't even vent about this to most of my friends. i know they mean well, but all i hear is, "he was horrible to you." and maybe he was. but he was mine. for a long time, he was all i had. i have an amazing support system now, and i'm genuinely so grateful for everyone who's been here for me, but when i'm alone, my brain still goes back to him. it's been a couple months since we broke up, so it has gotten easier. but i still haven't broken the habit of wondering what he's doing, how he's been, if he's okay. i used to know everything about him. his schedule, what he was up to, how his day was going. now i know nothing. what makes it hurt even MORE is that a month or two after we broke up, he reached out because he wanted to "right the wrongs" and "make peace with the people he had hurt so he could move on." he asked if we could be friends again. i acted like i didn't really want that. but i did. (i still do.) i wish i'd just admitted it. we went from talking every single day for almost two years, to not talking at all, to talking every day again for about three weeks. and then. nothing. it's been 28 days since we last spoke I feel crazy
