Spent a day aboard the container ship, Hanjin Scarlet, as it is stranded off the coast of Vancouver Island, B.C. The ship’s company, Hanjin Shipping Co., has declared bankruptcy, leaving the crew of 16 stranded on the ship. Shot for the National Post
“Uncertainty gnaws at the crew aboard the Hanjin Scarlet, a container ship the length of two football fields that has been stranded on the B.C. coast since its South Korean owner declared bankruptcy in August.”

I spent a few days in the Yukon following a story for Bloomberg on the Trump family fortune. Donald Trump’s grandfather Fredrik Trump, earned his families wealth through opening a restaurant/hotel/brothel during the Klondike Gold Rush in the late 1800′s.

I spent a week up in Northern B.C for Bloomberg with reporter Natalie Obiko Pearson. We covered the LNG development in the area of Northern B.C and Haida Gwaii. There is a strong resistance to LNG development as a majority of areas that are proposed for construction sit on First Nations territory.
