So thankful for an amazing girlfriend and amazing parents for taking me out to Luma for my early 21st bday celebration. Easily the best meal I've ever had and the company was perfect. So good. Couldn't recommend it more. (at Luma on Park)

And in academic news, I'm blessed to say that I've been accepted into the Honors in the Major program for Creative Writing. I'll be developing and writing an undergraduate thesis which will be a collection of my work. Incredibly thankful for the opportunity!

Today's my Grandmothers funeral. The past few weeks have been some of the most trying weeks of our families lives. The support from our friends has been tremendous. She was a woman of faith, loyalty, love, and compassion. But her love of outreach and her family didn't just go with her. Cancer can't take away memories of growing up with her going to my basketball games, George Foreman salmon grilling, and babysitting . Cancer won't take away her legacy. We mourn today because she is no longer with us. But we celebrate the place she is headed towards. We celebrate her well lived life, her impact in the world, and her now eternal painless, tearless, joyful home. We love you Grandmom.

I've had the privilege of calling this beautiful lady mine for a year today. She's taught me so much about myself, God, life and love. I can't believe I am so blessed to be able call her my girlfriend and best friend. I love this woman. Here's to the best year of my life and I can't wait to spend many more sharing my life with her. @erikanqueen I love you my dear.
