So far no hiccups yet, but I’m still waiting. I gotta know if it’s real. I can’t have missed my opportunity. I’ll be sad.

Hah, probably! But that’s fun. It’s all fun ad games, you know? You can’t take life too seriously cause then it just gets overwhelming and that’s not fun at all. Who am I? I also was an Escort when I was alive so that was fun.

Fork is almost worse than whenever you try to type fork in a text, only to have it autocorrect to duck. Never in my life have I meant duck. Never. I could imagine, it makes me feel like my brain is broken.

Oh my gosh, yes. I totally don’t miss that happening. You’d think considering how often it did happen when people really meant fork, they woulda fixed it but no we were forever doomed to say duck instead. Maybe our brains are broken, I mean we are dead after all.

But then you say there were a bunch of words you don’t understand?  But yeah I get that.  

Bridges.  I love bridges.  Living outside of Atlanta though, I worked mostly on overpasses and freeway exhanges.  Not really true bridges.  But I used to pick my vacation areas based on bridges.  Hmm, maybe.  I wonder /who/ designed it.  You know?  Considering where we supposedly are.

Luna’s a really cute name for a dog! What does she look like? I bet Frannie could tell you what type of dog she is. Frannie’s opening a vet clinic, so maybe you could take her there to get tested as well as see what the best way of looking after her is?

Thank you. It just came to me and it totally suits her. She’s little and white and fluffy and so cute! Oh, yeah! I was told to come talk to you if I needed anything to do with Luna. It’s nice to meet you, Frannie! It’s so col that you’re opening a vet! That sounds like a fine idea, I’ll do that!

They are a good type of food. Do you have a favourite?

Oh, I’m not smart, not academically. Ballerinas just know muscles really well. We have to, to manipulate them the way we do. There’s much smarter people up here than me who could probably give you a much more in depth explanation than I did, if you were interested.

I’ve only had a few long lasting hiccups in my life, and neither lasted for a long time, but probably just enough time. My wife, however, sometimes got into coughing fits that lasted hours. She kept throat sweets on her all the time. It was a little quirky. You just had to sit and wait, none of the normal cures seemed to help.

A favourite berry? Yeah! Defo a strawberry. With loads of sugar. It’s awesome.

You rarely got hiccups? I cannot tell you how jealous I am. I sound like your wife, just with the hiccups. I got them all the time and they were super annoying and loud and hurt my chest and people used to glare at me as if I could control what was happening! Coughing fits don’t sound fun at all.

So very true. Fork is not sexy, neither is shirt, or bench, or motherforking shirtballs. Yeah, I was. Bri and Rog are amazing guys. Absolutely amazing. 

Dude, right? Fork is so not sexy. I think shirt is funny, though. But I can’t get used to them. First time I tried to curse and those words came out I thought my brain had broken. So, you were, like, a famous singer??

Again it’s a me thing, not a you thing.  It doesn’t make me uncomfortable, I just don’t want to have those kinds of discussions with people I don’t know, or rather, am not involved with in that way.

Oh that’s so cute!  I expected to come home with something small and fluffy like a little dog when I went but I have a griffin which is part eagle, part lion, that I named Griffin as well after a character in a book I loved.  

Uh, dude. You won. You won this animal thing. What the heck. How cool is that?? Is it big?? Is it cute?? Can I meet it? I can’t believe how awesome your animal is, oh my gosh. 

Frannie Fabray would probably be able to tell you what kind of breed Luna is.  She’s opening a pet clinic and bakery as soon as she can. 

Oh, dude, she sounds like a good woman! Animals and food?? Two very important things. I am here for it. Maybe I’ll find her and ask.

I got a headgehog named Pipsqueak.  That Emma would probably be able to tell you what kind of dog you got.

Oh my gosh, no you didn’t! That sounds like the cutest thing ever. Hedgehogs are already adorable and you named it Pipsqueak?? I’m dying with how cute that is. Have you always liked hedgehogs? You make a very good point.

That’s an interesting take on life, but I suppose it definitely got everyone talking. You’re definitely interesting, Benji. 

I rather like blueberries, although most berries are pretty good.

I mean, probably. Muscle wise, I can see the logic that would make it work. Maybe the cure for a long standing hiccup case, rather than a quick passing one.

It did! Even people who were like okay this is weird they engaged with it because humans like weird things. Even if they won’t admit it

Blueberry is a solid choice! But true. The berries are pretty awesome.

I didn’t think I’d actually adjust to this whole dead thing so quickly, and sure, I miss my family and I miss my career, oh God I miss surgery so much, but all in all this isn’t all that bad. I can ask Emma for whatever I want, I like my house, there’s decent enough people around. Sure, I’m avoiding whatever “soulmate” I apparently have like the plague, but if that’s my biggest worry here, I’ll forking take it. 

Well that, and the whole “fork” thing, that’s annoying.

So, like, I don’t know, quit your beaching or whatever, you’re dead, it happened, now get on with your after-life.

You were a surgeon?? That’s awesome! You got to cut people open and see inside them. Amazing. I’m jealous. It’s pretty neat this afterlife thing. Like don’t get me wrong, it’s super weird. But it’s kinda fun. You don’t wanna meet your soulmate??? But that would be cute. I wanna find mine! 

Not being able to curse is soooo annoying. I miss it.
