Turned the rooftop lounge @skyloftoc into the @spoolerinc office yesterday and another awesome meeting with @taylerey. There is tons of data and scientific research that support the connection between work environment and job satisfaction (which is one of the reasons why I'm so big on work environment). At Spooler we're actually changing the underlying ideology of what working is and means. In fact, 9 out of 10 millennials consider work place culture/environment the most important consideration in joining a team. People want to work for companies that inspire them to do great things, and provide personal and professional development. This pic @suzybythesea was from several years back when I launched my first fashion retail entity, and lead a pretty large team on the ground. My teammates at that time can vouch for the fact that I proudly used to wear a shirt and tie to the office literally on most days of the week. The truth is, I had some business experience but was still in the process of learning and attaining success in fashion retail, and had a long way to go. I find it ironic because today I have much more accomplished in life, I'm financially established, and have traction in the field, but you will rarely see me show up to work in anything more formal than a polo shirt. The moral of the story is that the higher you reach the less and less effort it actually requires to impress people. It's okay to still be in the process of obtaining your goals; rushing the process will just leave gaps in your narrative.
