A cat showed up on our little stoop a few months ago, which we immediately found 100% delightful and we rushed out to meet her and she ran away. From then on, building the relationship was the slowest of slow dances until the day she decided that we should totally pet her and we totally agreed. We dug up an old food tray from somewhere deep in the attic and started leaving her food each day, and then we got used to greeting our 8am (on the dot!) visitor each day.

One of the first casualties of social distancing was our relationship with our porch kitty, who we cleverly (I’m kidding) named Koshka (”cat” in Russian) and who stopped visiting shortly thereafter the order kicked in, which confirmed our suspicion that she was indeed a home kitty for someone else.
