what is UP with people whitewashing Chell, she is so obviously mixed

ok after i posted this i am seeing MORE WHITE CHELL THAN EVER. ITS CRAZY. and not like, just making her skin lighter, her hair is blonde.

I know your ‘why would they do that’ in the tags is probably a rhetorical question but I actually have a (likely) answer!!! This animation was probably made as a ‘game over’ of sorts for a cut mission in the Half-Life: Decay expansion in which Gina Cross and Colette Green would have likely had to save Gordon, killing that soldier before he can shoot him, with this scene happening if they ran out of time. The mission was likely conceptualised as a means to fix a (sorta?) plot hole in the original Half-Life by answering the question ‘Why didn’t the soldiers who dropped Gordon into the trash compactor shoot him to make sure he was dead first?’, the answer being ‘Gina and Colette got to them before they had the chance.’ We still don’t know why exactly it was cut.

Yeah i just read abt this deleted section the other day! kinda sucks that it got removed for no apparent reason but i still like to think that Gina and Colette still had this interaction, just off screen of course.
