A view from near the Broad Street Bridge, next to Blue Cross Arena (Rochester, NY). There’s a lot to take in here–the Genesee River, The Central Library across the river, the viaduct on the right, and of course the bridge on the left.

The library was built over the Rochester Subway and the Johnson & Seymour millrace. The millrace was used to power mills in the area and you can still see water pouring out of the spillways at the base. The subway was used until the 1950′s and was abandoned. The subway is still accessible through the arches in the Broad Street Bridge, center left.
