Text: gerard saying “always moving forward” on twitter really resonated with me because yea even though he was talking about zayn, to me it meant that it doesn’t matter if u relapse, as long as u find the strength to always be moving forward. just like gerard did. he relapsed a couple of times but he always managed to channel his energy into cool projects like his solo album, which really changed a lot of lives, including his. i like gerard a lot.

Text: When the band first broke up, I was upset at Gerard (and all of them) mainly because it seemed like such a random thing, then when G wrote his paragraph and I just got more pissed, but once his Kerrang interview came out explaining everything, I gained so much more respect for him. He knew he had to choose between the band or him and his brother and he knew he had to put him and Mikey’s well being before the band. I also love how he used the time before Hesitant Alien to reconnect with his art and with Bandit. Gerard really is a great father and it seems weird that he’s like a father figure to me, even though I’ve never gotten the chance to meet him.
