This is the first summer in 5 years that I’ve been able to spend my birthday at home. As a treat, I invited my mom to go venture to the Lavender Festival in Cherry Valley. I’ve been recently thinking about how little I’ve been physically active other than teaching guard and my barista job. I can’t tell you the last time I went to the gym. With the recent move-ins for Bluecoats, I have a large nostalgia not only for the experiences I received from the drum corps activity but also the level of fitness. I decided on creating a new account to motivate myself and to promote an active lifestyle. It will share a combination of exercises workouts, stretches, and nutrition that I will expose myself to in order to attain my goal towards a healthier life. I have no quantitative goal in mind as of now, however I want to get back to a place where I physically feel strong, confident, and just healthy in general. It may be a long journey but at least these steps will be towards the right direction. Long story short I have had a change of focus from an art major to kinesiology. I was starting to lose my desire for completing my education, potentially dropping out. Thanks to the friendship and care of my AT in my time with Bluecoats, I found my passion to become an Athletic Trainer. I’ll soon be able to wave my victory flag for completing my semester of Kinesiology courses (only to start my summer classes).
